In East Texas, you can have a 30 minute argument with a native about whether a toboggan is a hat with ear flaps or a sled. As if an East Texan who's never been up North knows anything about cold weather equipment.

You get a shout out AMEN from me brotha! I agree with everything you've written and like you I don't do the head bobbing thing...you forgot to mention directions...if they don't know the directions they will not say "I don't know" but give you wrong directions and still maintain they are right! ..
Haha, thanks mate! :D

When I go to the countryside in India and I ask someone where a particular place is, they will reply "Oh it's just nearby.. just keep going straight and you will find it."

Twenty minutes later, and still going straight....

Fifteen minutes later, and you arrive at a T-junction....

Next person "it is very close; just take the left."

I take the left...

Driving for 10 minutes....

*bang my head on the steering wheel out of frustration and open Google maps*

*Google maps can't find the place because it is in the countryside*

Continue driving until I ask the next person.

True GPS is worthless here in the countryside but okay in big cities....and on top of that most shops are right next to each other so if you miss a sign you're screwed and have to wait like 30 min in traffic to make a u turn or just give up park somewhere and walk a ways to the store....

That would be a nightmare if you had a job interview in the countryside

yeh typical americans link the aussies with the kiwis
Were actually rivals of Australia and lots of Aussies don't like kiwis and vice versa sure we've got similiarities and political relations with them etc but the other night I'm watching a NZ rugby game vs Aus in a Australian stadium and the commentators who are Australian was calling one of our players a fattie on live TV they even booed us when we won in a close game.

:D Hahahaha fake boobs and oranges!! That is so funny because you never see oranges here.
I was surprised it didn't say something about non-stop earthquakes since it seems that most of the country seems to think that the ground in CA never stops moving (just as much as they think that all of CO is mountains and pine trees).

PS, have you never been to north western LA county and eastern Ventura county?? Unless things have changed phenomenally since I left there almost 20 years ago the corridor along SH 126 was predominantly citrus.

As for Ozzy Osbourne who wants to listen to a guy who rips off bats heads during concerts???? he's a weirdo....
He did that once. 30 years ago. On accident. He thought it was a fake bat. It was tossed onstage by a fan. I think it's time to let the guy live down his mistake.

No I've never been through there. Only time I go up north is to SF and its always by plane. So that explains it! :) I thought they meant Orange County..

~ most traditional food here (and maybe some others Asian country??) use banana leaf as plate and eat with hand (not spoon or chopsticks)

~ people eat jengkol and durian even when they knew its stink so much.. (i love durian)

~ when we had cold or stomach bug or something like that we use oil and coin in our back to open the pore.. its known as "kerokan".. The more dark the colors means the more sick you are (weird?? hehe)
