I've been having this problem for my entire life... But what I'm currently referring too, has been an issue for 19 years of my life! So I guess if God is trying to teach me something. Then I must be way to stubborn to learn, or maybe He's allowing Satan, to beat me up, like He did with Job.

I feel like this question insults my intelligence. Because whenever someone is in pain, they feel like praying for relief. I've said so many prayers about this, I lost count. In fact from an emotional point of view, I feel like giving up on praying. At least about this. :(

No insult was intended. It's easy to overlook basics like these when you're in pain. I don't know your whole situation, so I won't pretend to know it. I just know, from personal experience and that of others, that it's also easy to look to others (including God) for help, when the solution is not external.

I've asked God to change me on the inside, but nothing seems to be happening. I don't know, what is wrong, and God doesn't seem to be answering my prayers. Frustrated by years and years of this, I started searching for a Christian forum site, where I could post some prayer requests.

I've been sorta told that i don't need other people praying for me. But this verse pops in my mind.

Matthew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Whenever it comes to the topic of marriage, in all honesty, the first thing that I think of is this:

Luke chapter 20

[34] And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
[35] But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Marriage is only for this side of eternity, and it was ordained of God to be a natural reflection of the spiritual union between Christ and his church.

Seeing how no one will be married in the world to come, apart from being the spiritual bride of Christ, I can make it as a single man for however many years I have left in this temporal life.

Anyhow, that's how I console myself...that and the fact that I've literally lost pretty much all interest in women because of a lifetime of bad experiences.

Not necessarily placing all of the blame on the women, but it hasn't been pretty.

Marriage is NOT some sort of cure all.

Because typically people see ourselves as separate beings. You wouldn't see yourself as one with God, even the thought sounds like a sin. But God is within us. Feeling yourself as separate from God is actually the sin bc it's saying we don't need God. In modern society independence or autonomy is the goal. However that's the opposite of Christianity.

So we look to others for the physical presence. In addition our created society is symbolic for a piece of God. So we're meant to go to others as in its natural.

But we don't NEED others, only Jesus. Same thing for God not needing anyone else. But he created man for a purpose.

well I dont know about teachers, since there are more of them and maybe only one of you (theres only one janitor at school?) but do you not find other janitors in other schools that you can talk to?

Because Im the only librarian at my school, I just network with other school librarians who are also sole charge, we have meetings, go shopping for books, msg each other, visit each others libraries etc.

we not a clique, like I havent joined a union or association or anything. Ive done that before but found them too elitist.

when I was working in public libraries the team of librarians would organise our own social things in our own teams

just fun stuff like outings, dinners, trips, gym classes etc. I once was in a book club but everyone just wanted to play board games lol

so...surely there are other janitors out there that you can reach out to in your local area or online and talk shop as it were.

Sure there is other janitors that work for the school system, but not specifically at my school. They don't know me, and I don't know them. How would I get together with them? We don't do anything like what you described. The only time that we got together as a big group was for a mandatory meeting. Even then, everyone just stayed in there own individual school group. I like I said, I don't think any of them hardly knows anyone other then who is at their individual school. At my school, there is only 3 of us. And we almost never see each other. The head guy is on different hours then I am. The second guy is almost deaf, and He keeps to himself, unless He isn't feeling well, and wants to go home early. He's a big contrast from my last coworker, who was very outgoing. Him and I used to joke around a lot! But then He retired, so the past 2 years I've been all alone on my job.

if nobody is making the effort maybe you need to start something
what happens with my librarians group is one librarian calls a meeting once a term and different librarians host it in their library and we meet after school

or sometimes meet just meet one on one for visits to different libraries

it isnt just social its practical for example if Ive got too many duplicate books and another librarian is missing some from her library we arrange a swap to save money

we communicate on a listserv and everyone knows they can drop me an email if they want to ask something
a few that are closer to me msg ..using whats app or zoom or google meets.

if its during school time it can be counted as PD, professional development . You need to bounce ideas off each other
