Well, I apologize.

Apparently I am the Jackalope in this thread.
Now, that's just sweet-N-peachy, Liamson!

You'll be surprise what players get away with in cyberspace, and this site is not immune. Yes, they came in all stages, ages, and gauges it's almost pathetic. Their obnoxious behavior compels godly women to guard their hearts further as they burrow themselves into the Holies of Holy.

Just this morning, a dear brother told me I behave like a stranger, and I patiently accepted the title. If only the brother knew Yours Truly is as common as "Bach's" Minuet in G major... :D

How gentle is the rain
That falls softly on the meadow,
Birds high up the trees
Serenade the clouds with their melodies...

Ladies also be aware that so called players can hold positions of authority and power. I have seen first hand how one of these people befriended the owner of a Christian chat room and worked his way into the moderation team I was on. His antics prior to this position of authority was not great to start with, but now with immunity to kicking by other mods he flouted the rules in order to impress the females.

From a Christian appearance he walked the walk, talked the talk, if he was genuinely a believer, God only knows, but his actions and fruits said otherwise. After some time he got careless or just arrogant and let slip a few red flags in chat, with a bit of digging and investigation myself and a couple of other moderators uncovered a web of lies and deceit, we found that at least 6 women were under the impression that they were his girlfriend. One women even told us that she had him stay a couple of nights at her place, he persuaded her to have sex, when she woke up in middle of night, she found him naked in front of lap top engaging with an equally naked woman, who was also someone from the same chat room.

So, you have to guard yourself very carefully and do not fall for these people who know how to tick all the boxes for your requirements, they will tell you everything you want to hear and want to know, holding a position of fame, power and trust makes that all the easier.

It is also not just online chat rooms and forums you have to be careful, these people infiltrate churches in order to prey upon women. Use discenment and seek advice from people you trust in your church, what do they think of him, then of course also ask God.

If you keep your head screwed on properly you will not loose it. If you are hunting unicorns and one appears then its almost likely going to be a horse with a fake horn.

Here is a little guy secret. All men are pigs. Some have given it to God, and some are less piggish than others.

'christian players' sounds like a contradiction in itself to me.

Wait wait! before we lump all guys together as sleazebags or pigs, lets remember that there are plenty of decent, mature, loyal and responsible guys out there...and they are the ones that women always put in their friendzone.

I recently discovered I am a player that is blossoming into his own. I need the help of [several women between the ages of 22-30] to help overcome this severe flaw. Seriously, please join me in a discussion on how I can be a better man and devote myself to you [several women between the ages of 22-30].

Seriously...22-30.

I'm very serious.

Ladies.
I need to warn you about something.
Males.
Yes Christian men.
Who are players.
They're hard to spot.
But easy to fall for.

Your idealism, and desire for Godliness, is the heartstring these deceptive players manipulate.
You'll fall for them easily, because their deception is wrapped up in packaging that can sway the heart long before your head catches on to the scam.

By then your heart may be so involved, you'll blindly ignore the truth, as you believe the scam, even though you know it's a full on scam.

These men are spiritual, scriptural, idealist smooth talkers.

They know the right spiritual words to say.
They're great with the Bible jargon.
They know how to appeal to your passions for idealism.

On the surface, they look like they're saying things of great depth and importance. You'll think you have just encountered a modern day philosopher who can speak at the deepest levels of the heart.
But underneath the candy-coated mumbo jumbo, is a black chasm of emptiness, who's only purpose is to manipulate your desire for the good, so they can use you for their very selfish desires.

Sisters in Christ, beware of these men.
Watch the strings of your heart, because these men know how to play them well.
All for their own selfish purposes.
Busted. Looks like I'm converting to hinduism. They got some pretty fine looking ladies there.

And to be fair, there are plenty of Christian Seductresses/Jezebels out there. NO gender is perfect, Christian or not.

It IS an interesting reminder though that some people do use their "faith" and positions for personal gain. I read about a young man who was known for his spiritual gifts and told the best-looking girl in the church, "God has said you are going to be my wife." The young woman was extremely distraught because she felt nothing for this young man, had never even really talked to him, but did not want to disobey God. The elders got involved and decided that this "prophecy" was, at best, questionable, because it would obviously result in a lot of personal gain for the young man and the young woman had no inclination towards him whatsoever. In the end, they assured her that they believed it was not from God, and she wound up very happily married to someone else.

I heard another pastor speak of "Religious Romeos" in his churches--men who used their gifts, talents, and spiritual "concern" to date their choice of women in the church, sometimes resulting in pregnancies. And yes, it does take two. He said that when some of the women were confronted by other women in the church, they protested and said, "You're just jealous because he's a great man of God who likes ME and not you."

It's one thing to recognize a Christian Player/Playerette.

It's another thing to choose to do something about it and not be taken in, or we're just as guilty as the player.

Yes - this is immature foolishness... (both sides of it - spiritually and otherwise)

"Don't EVER let anyone's 'good word' replace that which is suppose to be only between YOU and GOD."

It may be O.K. if you truly believe that some man/woman is "a great man/woman of God" -- however -- even if there is any truth to the statement, the "greatness" is not in the person themselves - but is of God. You should NEVER allow that person to "be God" for you - not in your mind nor in your heart.

We have "a direct channel" to God!
Everyone needs to use it ("do the hard work") - and not depend on someone else to tell them what God thinks they should do in any particular situation. We need to get our answers - "especially the really important stuff" - directly from God and nowhere else!

Asking someone for advice / etc. is one thing -- "taking their word for it" as though it came straight from God is dangerous -- 'advice' is something to be "considered" and "reasoned" within yourself... (never "assumed")

They are only human. They can be tempted. And, even if they "intend well" - they can still be wrong.

Advice from a trusted human being is usually a good thing. In some situations, trusting their judgment will be safe enough. However,...

God having "the last word" is always best.

:)

Keep in mind the more personal information you share about yourself, especially on a public forum, the easier it is for you to become a target. You really do have to be careful who you trust with what. There are those who will certainly figure out, then tell you exactly what you want to hear.
I've seen people, I thought would never fall for such nonsense, walk around with blinders on. They have no idea they're the prey of a skilled hunter.

Usually the type of person who is the hunter in this situation is a person who goes out of their way to exclaim how great and awesome they are. Some are more subtle about it (these are even more skilled), others just put it right out there. If this hunter does that enough, people start to believe it..even if it's in no way true.
Words are the weapons of said hunter. Pay more attention to actions than just mere words.

Well, whats equally sickening are males who come under the pretenses of being a buddy. You don't even have the slightest interest in them - not even as friends but they insist on sneaking their dirty little selves into your life and making comments which are too subtle to confront as sleazy - but they always have to throw in a God bless you into their self interested greetings. Some of them really like younger women and are old enough to be your dad.

True. But that doesn't nullify the call for men to treat younger women as sisters - with all purity.(1Timothy5:1-2)

I think that it can go both ways, but at the end of the day our GOD who is a sovereign GOD is in control of every situation that comes our way.

As JESUS said in Matthew 6 if you read this entire chapter Our LORD wants us to look to
HIM in everything, our hearts desires to HIM. These Christian players will eventually be
Exposed as their hearts are obliviously not on our LORD but thinking of themselves. We ourselves need to constantly
Be in the LORDS word daily and be around other believers who Love the LORD their GOD with all their hearts, mind and soul.
GOD does say you will no them by their fruit the example of the Christian player comes across as an unsaved person who does
Not care about glorying or honoring JESUS CHRIST.

Praise honor and glory to our LORD, praise be to HIM and only HIM, JESUS CHRIST.

Peace be with you brothers and sisters

Grace and Peace in CHRIST
