Twice in the the last 15 yrs my hair was to the middle of my back. And why you might ask?
Neglect pure and simple.

It turns auburn at that length with large wavey curls (usually in a ponytail under my hat though)

Now its been back to normal for some time, shaved with the #2.

This gave me a chuckle and no I did not get offended. How can you tell they are gay by their hairstyle? Lol
Well I can't tell that they are gay. I assume that any person (man or woman) going out of the traditional look (dreadlocks, blue hair, weird piercings, man bun etc.) likes to experiment. To me, the message they are trying to send is that they are a rebel. I think a person that is rebelling like that most likely experiments with other things besides their appearance.

Of course, I understand that not every person that has green hair is experimenting...but for the most part I think I'm right.

Well a woman or a man can demand anything they desire in the opposite gender.. But getting what they demand depends on a person of the opposite gender finding them attractive enough to marry..

If a person either male or female has demands that are too high for what they can attract then they will end up permanently single.. So in the end if a person wants to have a husband or a wife they need to adjust their demands to a level that is appropriate to what they themselves can attract..

There seems to be a lot of people both men and woman who start out with ridiculously high demands.. But 15- 20 years later they have either lowered their demands or they are still single..
This is only true if love is a bartering system... And for some people it is. I have seen couples that have other kinds of Love though.

You're back!!!

I finally read the Silmarillion. When I saw "Tinuviel" I smacked my head.

"THAT'S WHERE SHE GOT IT FROM!"

Yes, I am! That's...that's odd. That's really odd. I can't imagine reading a book and seeing a name and saying, "Oh, THAT'S where that random person on that random online forum got their username from!" Of more importance, what did you think of The Silmarillion? I just finished my second read--I hadn't read it straight through for over five years and I kind of fell in love all over again.

oh dear me. are there any superficialess women on here? Who can see past a balding aging slightly obese guy who has a heart of gold?
apparently not.
I don't see how it's superficial for a woman to like a man's haircut. That was the question that was asked. :)
Superficial would be if a woman really couldn't date anyone that is bald.
I think a balding, aging, slightly obese woman would love to be with a balding, aging, slightly obese guy with a heart of gold!

I'm cursed with a good memory.

I avoided it for years and don't know why. A fantastic and necessary piece of Tolkien lore.

Do you ladies like the shaved sides with comb over look? This is the style I’m going to do when my hair grows out.

I don’t mind this style because like Pipp said, my nephews have this style, I think it’s called “faded” and more of the millennials go for this type of look lol.

Personally, I don’t mind how long or short the man’s hair is or what type of style, I am drawn to short hair, but I won’t rule out a guy with long hair either - I just like it when he plays with my hair.

Aw, thanks very much. These days, the only selfies (of me) that I like seem to be in black and white!

Going Nowhere, you have a very sincere, handsome smile. :)

As for my identity... There are a few members on the site who have had the (possibly questionable :D) experience of seeing me show up at their doorstep... So they would have to be the ones to tell you if I'm real or not. :)

Meg, thanks for the comment about the glasses. I was going for a retro 50's vibe. You are beautiful and you write excellent threads and posts! We are glad to have you here in Singles. :geek:

And, I hear you about the man buns, along with Love Comes Softly's comment about clean hair.

I think as long as the style suits him and he has good hygiene, I can work with most anything, lol. :) Though I do admit that I like it when guys aren't afraid to try different looks if there is the option to do so.

I went through a long time where I would grow my hair out for a few years, then cut it all off, because it felt like a cleansing experience and the start of a new beginning in my life. I had secretly hoped that the "right" guy for me would fall in love with me while I had short hair (since guys tend to see that as being less attractive), but these days, I tend to keep it about shoulder-length.

Like many women, my hair only seems to grow to a certain point and won't grow any longer, so I figure I'll enjoy the versatility of having it long for now.
I take a vitamin supplement every day called Perfectil Hair, Skin & Nails.... and also good quality Omega oils for hair growth👌xxx

Morefaith, you seem like an "all's fair in love and opinions" kind of guy...

Therefore, I'm expecting you to pop into the thread asking guys their opinions about women's hair and declare all the men who answered to be superficial as well.

(No, I'm not saying men are superficial. I'm just saying, you can't say this about one group while leaving the other group lost and alone without your official assessment.) ;)

I might have missed the posts where most of the guys there said, "I can easily see past a woman with thinning, short, shaved, or no hair (after all, she might have had chemo) and fall in love with the ravishingly beautiful creature I see inside!"

Many kudos to Solemateleft and the other guys who do feel that way.

BrotherMike, this is just me, but I really like the kind of hairstyle you pictured -- it kind of gives of an, "I don't care what people think, I'm going to go my own way" kind of vibe and I totally dig that, especially when it's someone who does the right thing and doesn't listen to any criticism he might get for it. :)

What a sweet man.

The question though is whether he told her to leave it off after the first few dates. Either he's uncommonly nice or he's play'n the long game.

He was totally sincere... his attitude was like...' it's cool' and he clearly respected her for having the boldness to take it off- she had really accepted herself like that- she even had a really pretty tattoo down the side of her head lol not that everyone on here would be into that but I admired her strength of character ... and his ... and she had a really nice attitude, just at ease somehow🙂

Or maybe he was looking at her eyes instead of her scalp.

Hmmm., I suppose...A confident, merciful and kind man with a good handle on hygiene is attractive regardless the do, especially if he has a great sense of humor. :D!!
