But i never said these things didn't exist. I said , not just CC women. Much of what i see listed here seems to apply to a large number of women in general is my point.
I never accused you of saying they didn't exist. ;) I accused you of saying it wasn't that realistic, as in your quote "the real women that we all deal with on a day to day basis".

Women are super diverse. The women I mentioned who DO love shopping/nails/chick flicks/etc are just as real and "day to day" as any other woman. They're not Hollywood or big city women. I'm talking about my classmates, moms from my church, and other women who've probably never lived in a big city. Even women who I have a lot in common with and are basically "the girl next door" have a much greater love for those hyper-girly things than I do.

So I challenge your belief that much of what you see us CC ladies posting here doesn't apply to a large number of women in general. :D

i totally agree with this.

and to add to that point, the question asked here also was "what womanly things do you hate?" when in fact, i think many of us (even the ones who hate heels and makeup) could build a long list of things that we do love that are traditionally associated with being "girly".

and i also recognize, looking at this list, that my "anti-woman" card list is probably no longer than my "woman" card list:

loves to cook, bake and master domestic-y stuff
enjoys those hallmark movies
has a pretty extensive boot collection
wears heels and heeled boots on a regular basis
enjoys fashion and regular opportunities to wear dresses, skirts and other feminine options
adores lipgloss and girly accoutrements
often prefers salads for dinner

Yet you have no problem with duck lip, two finger FB style selfies. Hmm... hahaha
Hey you! Hush! It was only for fun :p

Hmm... it seems to me most of whats being said here is the same things. It doesn't really do much for the validity of the 'woman card' if all the women are denying the same things. It would seem the concept of the woman cards standards are misunderstood if all the women are of the same mind in denying all the same areas.
And really, much of this stuff is pretty normal for women anymore.
Its cool to see how similar and what I have in common with other CC women :). I know plenty in real life who are obsess with manicures and dressing up and wearing heels etc all the time! Then I feel awkward cause I'm the complete opposite lol.

I hate make- up (I've used it three times, unless you count stage make- up)
No manicures, I actually tend to tear the tip of my nails off
I have one purse and I never use it
I find romantic moves boring
While I have started to wear more, uh, feminine clothes, I steel feel more comfy in baggy pants and too large t- shirts
and I own a sword

I have no tv, so dont really watch movies anymore.
I wear sweats and t-shirts.
I hate dresses..AND skirts.

and I own a ninja cat with crazy mad ninja skillz.

I'm glad I'm not the only girl who doesn't like high heels or really care all that much about shoes, doing hair or makeup. I think comfortable natural is the best.

I'm not a big fan of mushy gushy movies like Titanic. To put it bluntly if you want glitz and glam and make up tips, I'm not the woman you want to talk to.

I've never heard of a woman card.

You're a walkin' a tight rope there partner....

I don't really get what's to debate about what's been said in this thread...

The things the women here have said they don't like/don't do are stereotypical "feminine" things. Maybe a lot of women don't like those things...ok? It doesn't change the stereotypes, doesn't change how women are generally portrayed in books and movies and tv shows. Anyway, stereotypes have their basis in facts- while it may be true that a large number of women have no interest in clothes, makeup, shoes, shopping...it's also true that a large number of women loooove those things, and that a lot of people see those things as being kind of the essence of femininity (which is ridiculous, but true).

For the record, I actually enjoy some of the stereotypical girly stuff...dressing up, wearing makeup, painting my nails, wearing high heels, even (gasp!) some chick flicks and romance novels.

And glitter. I love glitter.

Now I don't remember where I was even going with this.

Good day.

I don't wear makeup. the cost and my skin being sensitive is prohibitive. I don't wear polish..it just ruins my nails. I only wash and air dry my hair. I do like to sometimes wear heels but not stilettos. I am a pants/shorts kind of girl. I own one skirt and one dress. I don't like to clean house but do it. I used to own a cleaning business (that might have something to do with it). The things I have seen and encountered...so gross. :)

I'm proclaiming my standards for a woman's card.

Love God, Love your neighbors

That's it, simple as that.

I don't shave.

WHOOPS!! D'oh. *facepalm* Er, I mean...

I obviously have this thread confused with the "Pirates vs. Ninjas" thread.

I don't shave.

My beard.

(Yup. THAT'S what I meant to say.)

Sometimes I HATE cleaning the house. Like...sometimes I'd much rather just take a flamethrower to everything. Then there's times where I get real neat-freaky (mainly with the floors) and I JUST HAVE TO CLEAN IT.

I'm purely a jeans and t-shirt girl. I'm on the praise and worship team, and I go up there in jeans and a t-shirt more times than not. Trying to find some more shirts that are comfortable, can go with jeans, but is dressier than what I wear. Right now I haven't had a ton of luck, but I have found a few shirts. If I don't go to college, I might set aside money specifically for that.

Though I love grocery shopping, I don't like clothes shopping so much. I much prefer stumbling upon cute clothing. When I go out and actually SEARCH for clothes I almost always come up empty.
