Whats worse is they bring along another single who has no chance with you, and you have to put up with them hitting on you all night, and the awkwardness of everyone trying to push him on you when you're trying to push him away.

I got to thinking today while walking around the mall. Up till now I've been looking at what I'm missing out on being married. But today I realized what benefits come with being single. I don't have to consult with another how I spend my money, what I can wear, what I can do, where I can go and for how long. My mom can't leave my stepdad for two weeks because she wouldn't be there to cook him dinner and wait on him hand and foot. I have freedom. And this year I think I'll work on enjoying my life for once instead of striving as hard as I can to make others happy, that don't even appreciate it. This year I'm not going to let anyone judge me or control me. I've walked on eggshells trying to please others for way too long.
Find a man who has lived alone for a year or two, long enough to learn how to cook and do his laundry. They do exist.

This is what Lynx really meant to say...

You're the one who said you had too much dough. :) I was merely offering to help. ;)

If you come after my dough I can run like a deer...

If I had any dough, that is.

Or, find a man who is willing to share the household responsibilities. They also exist!

I will be going to my church's watchnight service. It starts from 10pm and ends at 3.30 am. This is my routine for the last 26 years.

My New Year's Eve will consist of practicing guitar and watching YouTube until about 11:45 when I realize it's New Years Eve.

I believe and hope that I will be spending New Year's with my Granny (she's 89, so I cherish all the moments) again and watching the ball drop in NYC, dreaming about going someday while simultaneously dreading the very idea. The feels.

Right now I'm trapped in a hotel and it's sleeting though, soo... D:
