NodYourHeadLikeYeah asks:

I guess it's Ken Thomas. My name's actually Thomas Kennedy but I always thought Ken Thomas sounded like a better baseball name. "stepping to the plate is Ken Thomas. Thomas is batting 301 and is 0 for 1 on the day with a flyout to center. Made a heck of a play on Ramirez at third in the 1st inning keeping the score tied......0 and 2 is the count...juuust hit the outside corner 1 and 2. Thomas led the Cardinals in runs batted in last year and is hoping to keep that going now...juuust inside 1 and 3 is the count.

see what I mean?

What's wrong with, "Stepping up to the plate is Thomas 'Smarty Pants' Kennedy"?

Jilly- How tall are you, and do you paint your nails (what color is your favorite for that)?

Rachel- What is your favorite outdoor winter activity?

Nod- What do YOU do all day? Besides stalking people and getting people's names tattooed on you?

Ugly- How much money would one have to pay you to get you to take ONE ballet lesson?

ServantStrike- whaddup with your username (not that there's anything wrong with it, just curious why you picked it)?

I'll get more of you later...all sneak-attack-style...muahaha!

You'd better ask me a question... I'll cry if you don't.

Yep! Emotional blackmail is my style! ;)

My turn to pose some questions.

Jilly: What did you want to be when you were a little girl?

Catlyn: What is your favorite color to wear in the Fall?

KenThomas: Do you own any weapons?

MissCris: Are you a snooper?

iTORE: If you only had $20.00 to spend today, what would it be on?

Liamson: When you were younger, were you more likely to play on the jungle gym or on the playground?

GraceLikeRain: How did you get into the face painting business?

NodMyHeadLikeYeah: Do you sometimes nod your head like no?

PopClick: How did you come up with your nick?

Shouryu: Would you ever try speed dating?

Rachelsedge: When you were a kid, what did you name your future children?

Zaoman32: Do you like Greek food?

Ugly: What's your favorite thing in the whole world?

Well, I was GOING to ask, now that you've been called "Ugly" for quite a while, would you/do you ever want to change your username to something else, and if so, what would you pick? But then I had this vision of a dude with a beard doing ballet, and got totally sidetracked.

MissCris: Are you a snooper?

Not...really...haha. I never snoop through anyone's stuff, and I don't stalk their pages/profiles. But, if someone or something seems fishy to me, I'll investigate a little :p

Hey everyone,

Sorry I'm a little late to the party--what a super fun thread!!

Jilly--You asked if I had to threaten Aaron (NukePooch) to get him back here. One of the great things about CC is that I've made a few friends here, and when we all take breaks from the site, I try to keep in touch.

I had 3 basic strategies for stalking, I mean, coaxing Aaron to come back to CC:
A. Toy Deprivation (threatening to take away his power tools and things that go VVRROOOM... but seeing as he was too far away for me to actually take them from him, I don't think this worked.)
B. Subtle hints: "So-and-so started a really fun thread the other day... you should check it out. HINT HINT HINT."
C. And, when all else fails, good old unsubtle flattery is always an option: "Hey you, I really liked your posts and they always made me smile, so why don't you, you know, get back on CC and make more of them?"

Something MUST have worked. Maybe it was when I stomped on his big toe... Anyway, hopefully he'll be around and we'll be able to ask him to answer for himself. :)

Nod--funny you should ask about one of the Korea's being an axis of evil. I've been asked several times in my life if I'm from the North or the South and while I do understand, I want to say, "Well, seeing as you'd be shot down if you tried to leave the north..."

Of course, I subtly end all speculation by simply answering, "Beg yer pardon ma'am... But ahm a good ol' fashion'en Yankee!!" :)

I have a question for the people who read but never post: HEY, WHY DO YOU READ AND NEVER POST??? :) Seriously. We'd love to hear what you have to contribute.

And for all the newcomers... Welcome, and what do you think of our Beloved Singles Forum so far?

Also...

ITORE: Do your buns get mad at you for being laffed off all the time?

ServantStrike: What does your avatar mean? I'm probably pretty dense here but I've tried to decipher it a few times now and... Yeah. Blank stare. Pretty common for me though. :)

Yay, people are questioning me, and it's not in a "why do you laugh so much and why do you do it so loudly" kind of way, or in a "dude, who ate all the pizza" kind of way.

The username just sort of happened. It's similar enough to one of my older online personas that I love it, but it's different enough that I can lie to myself and say it was an original idea. I used to be an idiot savant on the internet (not in real life, well I guess maybe in real life but not the savant part). That one is also not politically correct any more either (hey I'm not the kind of jerk that makes fun of the mentally disabled, I making fun of myself with my self deprecating sense of humor). So out if the ashes of idiot rose a strike.

So yeah, that's the story behind it.

GraceLikeRain: How did you get into the face painting business?
I started painting faces for my church harvest festival, and I'm a bit of an overachiever so I wanted to "be the best ever", which led to a lot of research and the beginnings of an actual pay-me-money-to-paint-your-kid business.

My questions...

Liamson: Did your parents speak to you like an adult from an early age?

Ugly: Do you h ave any phobias?

DuchessAimee: What's your weirdest pet peeve about people?

Jilly: Do you have any unusual OCD habits?

AsifinPassing: (Well, not a question... I just realized that your name is "as if in passing". Mind blown. I thought "Asifin" might be some sort of anime character who Passes a particular spot on his way to work everyday, or something... )

iTore: Are you a Sherlockian?

Umm... uhh... i think its... uhh... well... gee... maybe... i guess... probably... being around decisive people. Indecisive people drive me nuts.

I have considered this actually. I had considered picking something more 'me'. When i made this one i was trying to think of something more acceptable than what i would have likely picked. You know, something to impress the ladies with. But, since trying to think of something new... i haven't thought of one yet. Or maybe something more refined and dignified could work. Like, SirUgly.

I'd have responded but I didn't see you asked this. You are not the first one to have asked. You should ask Nukepooch though, not that I know him well, but you mention the other guy on the forum with an avatar in the same vein.

My Avy is the IAEA symbol for ionizing radiation. I like nuclear power (for peaceful use, not for post apocalyptic wasteland purposes - although some of those 80's movies were awesome), so this is my tongue in cheek avatar. Plus look at how awesome it is. Way cooler than the biohazard symbol the zombie apocalypse aficionados get to use.

DuchessAimee: What's your weirdest pet peeve about people?

Hmm... a weird pet peeve? It's probably women driving trucks. Around here, the women who drive trucks are prissy, stuck up, and overly made up. They try to kill people with their half ton trucks and drive around like they own the valley. It's a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

Just today a woman who ran a stop sign while driving a very large Ford truck, lifted, etc was dressed to the nines, and didn't look where she was going. She slammed on her breaks when she finally saw me. Then cussed ME out! I had the right of way, and if her stupid truck IN A RESIDENTIAL neighborhood hadn't been 17 feet tall, she could have seen me better.

If you're a woman and you need to drive a truck (like you live on a farm or ranch) that's fine. But stupid city girls don't need the stupid truck.

Okay... I'm done now.

Now tell us how you really feel. :p Nah, I know exactly what you mean.

Also,

That's the sort of thing I wear. I felt like I needed a picture because I was very very vague. Now I need to go away and think of some good questions. ^__^

KenThomas: Do you own any weapons?
Well let's just review some of the things we know! I'm from Tennessee. Most of my social skills come from Loony Tunes. My avatar is Yosemite Sam. The only literature that's stuck with me is from Stan Lee. I am a prepper with procrastination issues. And I'm exactly one of those guys that everyone says "he seemed like such a good guy. I can't believe he did this".

You add all that up and it'll come to 3 357magnums, 2 44 magnums, a 12 ga and a 410 **edited**, of course a 9mm and 2 38's and a gold club membership to Ernie's Fireworks and Ammo Emporium. Can we say Amen!

And that's just fine! Stan is a genius.

My dad had (maybe has) similar guns. Here's a fun story... Before I was born my dad bought a sniper rifle. He was showing it off to whomever was at the house, and my uncle Kevin decided he wanted to go outside to look through the scope. Oh! I should say that they were all high. Anyway, people in the neighborhood called the cops because Kevin was pointing it at people, houses, and various pets. Yes, the gun was loaded, and VERY soon the cops showed up. It turned into this huge thing because of the rifle and drugs.

So yeah, I come from a family who supports guns as well. :D

I know, right? The police are sooo nosey.

:) I gotta say I love it when the little tiny red flag goes up. "and how does that make you feel Mr. Thomas?" Like a little squirrel just pops up on his hind legs a second - still chewing - everythings still alright - just lookin' - checking in on things - thought I saw something there. :)

You don't have a clue what I'm talking about do you Catlyn?

Ok - prepping - being prepared mostly for times of financial chaos. Maybe even government overthrow. But mostly I'm just joking because ...that's what I do.
