If you could press a button and rewind to a certain place in your life, what age would you be and why did you pick that particular place/time?

With the knowledge I have now?

Well, I'd go back into grade 7 and work my butt off to finish school. I would most likely try to be a better person/friend to those I've hurted in the past and also to those who have hurted me.

But then again, that's only wishful thinking. :p

I'd like to start from the beginning. At this point there's very little in my life i would regret losing by not repeating it.

I hate to admit my rewind revolves around a certain guy but hey... at least I'm being honest. :D

There was a certain guy years ago who, now when I look back, was trying to talk to me... but of course, I was crazy over someone else (the wrong guy, of course!!!) This certain guy and I lost touch--I often wonder what would have happened if I would have pulled my head out of the huge bale of straw I'd slammed it into and paid attention to the little tug in my heart... When I've prayed about it, I believe God has told me to just let it go because (I think in my heart) that he is married with a family now.

So hopefully... maybe someday... if I do meet another "certain guy", I hope I am now smart enough to pay attention!!

I'm going to be odd man out. I like being the age I am. I am more confident, feel the most attractive, most secure in who I am, feel the most secure in knowing what God wants me to do with my life than ever before.

I'm happiest at this age then I ever have been.

I'd like to rewind to 14. I was high on life (not drugs), got my first drumset, quit the stupid football team and joined my high school band instead, had lots of friends and had my first girlfriend who was a flag twirler in band lol. I was also taking karate classes and felt like I could take on the world. Everything seemed really cool back then and I got to play the drums in parades, football games, concerts and life was all about girls, music and having fun. :)

Knowing what i know now, I would like to come back when i was 25 and instead of feeling so hurt i would like to forgive, understand some things and then live some years without the pain i felt at that time, because that took me a long time with a very long process and that only delayed my relationship with God.

I would go back to my first year of Junior Highschool, so around the age of 12 or 13 I would say. That seems to be about the time I started making stupid mistakes that could have easily been avoided.

Now that I think about it.....I don't think I would press rewind on my life. All of my lifes situations and circumstances were used to teach and strengthen me and ultimately bring me to the feet of Jesus in surrender.

Kinda reminds me of "Back to the Future" if you alter something of the past, then it completely changes the future. If I did travel back in time, I can't say that I would have ended up the same person I am today. And I like the person I am today in Christ :)

I would go back to 8th grade and I would handle the situation with this certain guy completely differently. Sounds kind of dumb, but if I had known at the time that he would be the only boyfriend I'd ever have, I would have done a lot of things different.

I would go back to when I was 20. I was a self centered unregenerate sinner and I hated my grandma on my dads side. Long story short I felt she had hurt my mother really bad and I couldn't forgive her. So on her death bed she called for me, I was at work and kept saying that stubborn old biddie will never die. I should have gone. She was unsaved, I will never see her again. I should also have been there for my dad. It is the biggest regret of my life

Although I have many things in my past that I can say I deeply regret, things I wish had never been said or done, I can honestly say I would not change a thing. As I look back over my life I can see the fulfillment of Romans 8:28,29. God making the even the most wicked things in my past work together for good. Even the worst moments in my life have contributed to who I am today and God can use me to minister to some whom others would not be able to as a result.

I agree, Oncefallen. Well said.

I would have to say that if I could rewind, I would want to go back to the time when I could hold my son on my shoulder and protect him from everything... Most people think the diaper changing years are the hardest. They aren't. :)

persecuted, there are times when I want to strangle you and times when I really think you need a hug. ;) Praying for you, Brother...seriously. :) Don't give up just yet. God truly is able, but we have to get out of the way.
