You mentioned shortest post. The shortest verse in the Bible is..
Jesus wept
I definitely got the reference...

John 11:35 -- Jesus Wept.

One of the most beautiful verses in the Bible.

We have a God who cries for us. ❤️

Good to see you, Cameron!

He doesn't usually have cookies, but I hear He cooks a mean fish. In a pinch He can make bread and wine.

Whenever people decide to roast me, all I ask is that you don't mess with my tail!!!

Just like those barbequed rats over in the Would You Ever Eat thread.:sick:o_O

(Yikes.)
I had to go check on those barbecued rats, just to realize that they were a cover for me and @Lynx eating deer.🤔😂

I was always fascinated by the thought of Jesus cooking for His disciples -- I mean... to see the God of all things... Cooking!!!

For us!

Mere humans!!!

I can't wait to see it in person (because I'm pretty sure the Lord won't let me step into the kitchen!) :)

I picture Him making crab cakes with an apron that reads...kiss the Son.

Nah, He is barbecuing Texas Longhorns!
That's your picture. I'm having crab cakes.
On a serious note though...

Do you picture Jesus actively, uh... ending the life of the animals He's going to cook?

I'm guessing with the disciples, they had the fish caught and so He probably used those?

But if He WERE to make Longhorns or crab cakes, can you see Jesus killing the animal?

I guess in a way I've kind of wondered if He would just wave His hand over them (like the fish, if He went after them Himself,) and the animal peacefully passing away or if He would kill them... the way we would

Of course, we have no way of knowing.

Just one of the many random thoughts that go through my brain when I'm reading the Bible.

Carolina born,
Carolina bred,
And when I die
I'll be Carolina dead.
Then my guessing was in vain for I thought you were from Maine.

Seriously, I’m just kidding. Of course you are not from Maine. Not that it is anything wrong with being from Maine.

I think.

No?

I’m thinking of Jesus more like the chef.

Like eating chez Jesus.

I'm thinking Texans are always thinking there's something wrong from being from anywhere but Texas.

My father was born in Maine. He went into the USMC and was stationed most of his military career at Camp Lejeune. We moved to Virginia for a couple of years and returned to North Carolina. I graduated from UNC and eventually moved to the Myrtle Beach area 30 years ago and been here ever since.

We thank your father for his service!

I've always wanted to see the Carolinas, Dakotas, and the East Coast.

Hopefully someday. :)
