A woman once asked me for my number, and as I began telling her my phone number she said "No, not your telephone number, I mean the number of times I have to tell you to get lost before you finally do!!!"

Needless to say, I was not impressed!!!

Well not on the street, but I happened to sat beside with this cute guy before. I even have this silly thought maybe it was a sign cuz he was wearing sunglasses, I have mine. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and I was wearing blue too. He opened up a conversation and knowing we have the same nature of job at that time we really did have a good talk. In the end he asked for my number. I was hesitant to give it but he insisted, I asked why, he said for keepsake. Thinking his harmless anyway and really cute so I gave it.

Later after that he messaged me, and he asked my first impression on him. I really wanted to say you are cute but I'm trying to be demure so I just said you are fine, why you asked?. He replied back saying, we are actually the same, I'm gay. Can you give me numbers of your guy friends? -- _--

I'm too shy to ask for girl's numbers (not like they talk to me anyways, since they mistake my shyness for not being interested). And girls rarely ask for my number (my ex asked for my number, but realize her title. "Ex". Obviously she wasn't a winner).

Although, I've had girls on online forums ask for my number multiple times. That's more creepy than anything.

I was in a bar once and I wrote my phone number on a napkin and passed it to an attractive woman sitting beside me. She took it and blew her nose with it, then passed it back to me and said "Thank you".

I would have been disappointed by that, but then I opened the napkin and I saw that her nasal mucus smudged the ink and formed what appeared to be the image of a flower. I take that as a sign that one day a relationship will "blossom" between us.

Can I have your phone number? I'm hoping to get some beard grooming tips for my husband.

That's the most beautiful story I've ever heard. You don't give up on her Descyple, you follow the lead of your Toronto Mayor and do not give in!!!

I ask strange women for their phone numbers all the time.

...that's not even true. I don't know what I'm even doing in this thread.

It's good to know I'm not the only married woman lurking around in this thread, lol

Do you ever face the situation where some male stranger comes up to you making friendly conversation and then asks for your phone number? How do you react? Would you date a stranger you met on the street?

Everyone's a stranger at some point.

While I'm currently unavailable, I do have to say that I admire bold moves, so I wouldn't rule out giving my phone number to someone I had a genuinely good conversation with -- though, I would definitely put him on the spot and ask why he needs my number before giving it out.

I'm wondering about the Christian single women here. Do you ever face the situation where some male stranger comes up to you making friendly conversation and then asks for your phone number? How do you react? Would you date a stranger you met on the street?
Yes, I very recently had this happen. I won't name his name here but...the guy barely talked to me and asked for my facebook..using some lame excuse for why he doesn't keep friends here, I told him no and the next message was him asking for my mobile number and giving me his. which I also replied no thank you. I added him to my ignore list and now hes been stalking every post I make, I know because I see that he reads and likes them all. MAYBE he will see this one and back off. It's really becoming very creepy.

Thank you for the inspiration Fenner. I definitely won't give up on the my "tissue-love mucus ephiphany" (in fact, I still have that used tissue today, I'm holding it in my hand as I type!!!).

Okay, my tissue example may be a bit eccentric, but heart-shaped chewed bubble gums, AzureAfire??? That's just disgusting!!!

I made chicken and biscuits tonight for dinner. I think my chicken spelled out, this is bland, or maybe that was a hint from my husband.

Epiphanies don't lie, Fenner. Obey the epiphany and next time add salt!!!

"To each his own," Descyple ;)

My heart-shaped chewed bubble gums aren't gross, you know  sure, they started smelling a little funny after just a day of being spat out, but in no way did they touch any unclean surface (i made sure i caught them with my hands before they hit the ground)

After catching them, i immediately tried to transfer them on a sterile piece of paper, and then refrigerated them ;) keeping them cool and fresh!!!
