It's funny how the same people that tell us not to judge people for their lifestyle or who they are, are out there are criticizing celebrities and how that one looks fat or ugly in that dress, calling them this bad name and that and how they should do this or that. Dislike their singing, dislike their acting style, dislike the bad decisions they make. But a person is a person, whether they're a celebrity or a cashier at McDonald's. They have feelings. They have struggles.
They're just not allowed to show them, lest they be burned by the very people that say, "Do not judge." Really, if they're tearing down celebrities like that on a personal level, saying how ugly they are, calling them names...they're not going to stop at celebrities. And honestly, it makes the person doing the criticizing look bad.
Go ahead and give the argument that celebrities knew what they were getting into, that simply because they're celebrities they're up for criticism, and some of them are jerks...but tell me, how does that make it any less wrong or more right? I know many of the people that criticize celebrities aren't Christian, but did the Bible justify tearing people down if you didn't like them or if they were a jerk? No. A person is a person. I'm pretty sure if I had the opportunity to, I'd treat a celebrity with Christ-like love. Because that's what I'd want done towards me. Granted there are some that should be locked up in jail and aren't. God will take care of them. So there's no real reason that people out there should talk about celebrities like that. While celebrities might not hear everything about them, God does hear everything.
Feel free to just ignore this. I'm just thinking.
