Driving along the highway as usual, when suddenly...BOOM! I hear a loud sound of a solid object colliding with glass. I inspect my windshield and see nothing, but I still feel uneasy. I finally approach a stoplight and hear light sounds on the roof, something like raindrops, but it's not raining. Cautiously, I open the shade that covers my sunroof/moonroof, and this is what I see.

That looks like a small rock or a hole about 1/3 way down? Glad you are ok!

Today at school I learned how to strip wire. Yep, if teaching ever fails me I can hire myself on as an assistant to an electrician and strip the wire.

I've found that this type of tool is by far the best for stripping wire. It's almost too easy.

You're welcome. Don't get the really cheap ones though because the cutting part goes dull quickly and then it won't strip very well. I'm talking about the ones I bought from the dollar stores lol.

You know, you are the first person ever to label me PC. I think this gotta be a turning point in my life;)...a strict conservative yesterday and and a PC today, wonder whats next? Reckon I'll be collecting guns for destruction tomorrow and by the end of the week I'm sure every man in the world is a male chauvinist:p. How's that for a starter? And don't forget, it was the TN feline who made me change lolllllll.

My parents are leaving in the morning to go to the Philippines. They'll be there together for a month, and then my dad is staying an additional 5 weeks after my mom comes back. And once again, it's typhoon season. Prayers for their safety, and also for the mission work with the children, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, they've been going to Christian counseling, and they're making progress. ^_^

Aaaaaaand I'm supposed to wake up in 4.5 hours to take them to the airport, so I really should be asleep, but here I am. :D

My son likes to sit by open windows to watch the dust motes float in the sun light. We had a long conversation about this a couple weeks ago, because he wanted to know what they were called, and why they were called dust motes, and why he could only see them in the sun and...

Basically, he wanted to know everything.

Today, he came running out of his room, yelling "Mom! I'm watching the fuzz doots! They're flying! Fuzz doots fly, Mom!"

It took a minute to figure out he was talking about dust motes. I like his term for them better.

Fuzz doots.

...that's all.

When I was little I thought they looked like little bees. I also had a strong aversion to bees since i got stung when I was very little as well (trying to help the bug out of the kiddie pool if I remember correctly). Anyway, it eventually led to the now sort of famous/ infamous baby shoes song/routine my best friend ( though we aren't super close now, she will always hold that title because I've known her longer than I've known my younger brother) and I did as kids. It went something like:

"Baby shoes" (repeat until you get bored with saying it)
Bzzzzzzz (buzzing like bees)
"Go away bees. Go away bees." (repeat until you get bored with that)
"Ouchy, ouchy ouchy" (said while poking yourself in different places like bees are stinging you, be sure to get stung on the tongue at least once because saying ouchy while poking your tongue is just funny)
"we'll get you bees, we'll get you bees" (said while clapping hands and pretending to kill bees)
Then you continue clapping and start counting the number of bees you've killed until you forget or get bored or something, well that's all I remember of it at least.

Yes, I was kind of a strange and imaginative child (and now I'm a kind of strange and weird pseudo-adult).
