In local news, my family wanted to make a CD, their first album ever, to give to friends at Christmas. Aunt Diane, Uncle Fred and Aunt Lucy have sung as a group for a while now, but never done any recordings. So last Friday night they went to church, I connected my multi-in audio interface to the soundboard and I recorded them in separate channels for editing later.
Please, please, if any of you ever do a music recording... KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT when the last few notes of the song are playing! Just because you are through singing doesn't mean the song is over, and you clearing your throat, or making an offhand remark, or sighing, it gets in the audio.
Yes I can fix this. Just mute the channel (audio envelopes are lifesavers) for the last few seconds of the song. On three mics. After EVERY FLIPPING SONG! It gets really, really old.
That is my ranting for the day. Now back to editing audio tracks.
