As a matter of fact, it does but it's a chemical switch turned on and off by melatonin which controls the daily night-day sleep cycle.

I don't recommend taking melatonin because of the side effects but a little Thompson 100mg magnesium, sleepy time tea, and even a Benadryl are perfectly fine and go a long way toward a good night's sleep in my experience :).
Fun fact, I'm allergic to Benadryl due to the lactose in it. Combine that with whatever else is in it, it makes me feel drugged for the next two days. Not fun...

Aw! That must stink.

Also a "fun fact": Approximately 75% of the world's population is lactose intolerant.

Love, ever so beautiful and pure, you are so simple and glorious!

Alas, romance, you can be so very complicated and heart wrenching!

I'm so happy I didn't have to wake up early today, especially since my last class ends at like 9:15 pm

I've heard that before! I just dunno how whoever did the study got that number. I'll have to search that. I mean, no doubt that nowadays food allergies are rampant. I just wonder how bad it truly is

And pride is just another way
Of trying to live with my mistakes
Denial is a better way
Of getting through another day
And silence is another way
Of saying what I wanna say

Sometimes being ethical is difficult.

Back to my 80s music.

I love the fact that pesto literally goes with everything in my household. Can of tuna, dump some pesto in it, throw it in the microwave, boom, you have a stew.

I'm not staying with my grandma tonight, because my aunt is going to stay. It's because she's declining fast. I'm not sure what the time frame will be. This is just disheartening.

Hang in there. It's tough when someone close to you is on their way out of this world, but whatever she's suffering through, at least that will be over for her.

A couple nights ago one of the guys in the young adult group that I lead was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. We only had five people show up to Bible study last night so instead of having Bible study, we went and visited him instead. It ended up being such a good time. We all visited together for a bit, and then everyone left and I hung around for another 2 1/2 hours or so. He and I had some really, really deep conversation and I think it cheered him up after a miserable day having to just sit in the hospital while feeling relatively okay. That is one of the best things about the church right there. I'm a blessed guy.

Also, I'm having fun helping people out with their taxes today haha. *pushes up glasses* I never get to meet random people like this so it's pretty great.

Acknowledged. Scratch the Benadryl. Go with the sleepy time tea and a Thompson magnesium 100mg.

You could call me a jack of all trades and a master of none, but I aspire to master at least some of them!

Yes my grandmother was promoted two weeks ago. I only have one surviving grandparent left and he's 96 years old. He said he's not going to die but cheat the devil out of his due and said his wife (my grandmother) was weak for dying before him.

I tried to explain that's not exactly how it all works but he just waved me away and ranted about the high price of coffee. He fears death about as much as Yogi the Bear fears a picnic basket. That's an old school silent generation WWII war veteran right there. He doesn't fear nothing.

Coffee prices are a bit ridiculous... ;)

That's very interesting, what he said. And 96 years old = wow.

I just tripped over a random leg in the yard while trying to get a cat off the roof. This is not the first time this has happened, although it's the first time since I've lived here. People really need to learn to properly dispose of deer and elk parts.

This story would've been a lot more interesting if I'd left out the bit about them being deer/elk legs.
