I was accidentally hit in the mouth today with a plastic light saber. It hurt, a lot. Now I know.how Luke Skywalker felt when Darth Vader cut his hand off.

I'm not staying with my grandma tonight, because my aunt is going to stay. It's because she's declining fast. I'm not sure what the time frame will be. This is just disheartening.
I missed this before. Praying for you, lil.

Major prayer request. I have an old friend whose brother in law went to ER yesterday. Today there is no brain activity. Please pray for the family and doctors as they make the best decisions in this situation.

Also, about a year ago, another friend collapsed in a restaurant, and like the above situation, there was no brain activity in her for at least a day. They had planned on harvesting her organs, but for some reason, it never happened. (But I know why it didn't.) Later the evening of the day after she was declared brain dead, she woke up. I would love to see this happen again with the above prayer request. I know, that God does things for whatever reason. And He may chose to bring the man home to Heaven, but I really would love for the power of God to shine through this man, so that the doctors, nurses, and patients will see the Glory of God.

Under the category of weird things I'm Googling for no real reason...
The proper name for groups of different kinds of animals.

A loveliness of ladybugs
An implausibility of wildebeests
A bloat of hippos
A murder of crows
A smuck of jellyfish
A crash of rhinos
A zeal of zebras
A kaleidoscope of butterflies
A tower of giraffes
An unkindness of ravens

Weird.

botox? or lip filler?

several years ago, i had a medi-spa + salon as a client, and scheduled/planned an open house for them to share about and demo some of their services. i was there initially to work, but then stayed later as a guest, by request of the salon owner.

i had no intention of being there for anything more than the free massage and a little networking with other business owners, but after awhile the salon owner came up to me and said, "hey, we have leftover botox, do you want some?"

wait, do you THINK i need some? is that what you're telling me?

oh, no, i didn't say that. i just don't want it to go to waste.

but why did you ask me? c'mon, is this an intervention?

well, i did ask [chick], and [another chick] but they all have had botox recently. plus i don't want it to go to waste. you've never had botox, right?

nope. but, you asked them FIRST? hmmmmm. oh sure, what the heck. wait, where is this going again?

now, i kind of hate that whole salon thing, and i won't work with one. and since that experience, i've never messed around with any of that botox-y stuff.

but i can't say i'm sorry i tried it, even if it robbed me of 20 iq points. : )

Just taught a piano lesson to one of my adult students at my place. He's a neat guy, but socially awkward and nervous. I suspect that he may even have a very mild case of undiagnosed autism or something. He couldn't relax at his lesson, so I offered a bit of wine, which seemed to help.

I may be on to something here.

Thanks.

The time frame... I'd give it two or three days if we're lucky. She's not really talking much, and it's mumbled and takes everything she has when she does. Just not good. The infection she got has latched on to two of her heart valves, so that could potentially kill her at any minute, too.

Just....makes me sick. Literally sick.

Well, I did say yesterday about seeing how other people view me and if only I knew what they would see from me. I got an answer today as well as other past occasions even though it didn't bother me until today. I think it's just the way the person worded it and maybe it was meant to be in some bad way.

Apparently, I don't seem to be from where I've been born and raised. Can be taken as a good thing when you live in an area where people find it acceptable to be rude and turn a cold shoulder, right? But I think it's more to do with how uncomfortable I get when being around other people, especially when isolating myself for a good while. I tend to make things awkward. I know that something is wrong. Must I be reminded?

I take back the thought of my first post.

Your post the other day and just now reminded me of this. (You'll have to get into the middle of it to understand why.) If you have an hour-ish, it would be totally worth your time. It's about relationships some too so it's interesting/entertaining.

It's for sure hard to break away from things that you were almost conditioned to do by your environment. I think it's good to be aware of it and even to have that awareness confirmed by someone, though. And as you live and grow, there will be plenty of opportunities to take a step outside of those old habits. Sometimes you will run into the door frame trying to step out haha, but sometimes you will succeed, and you will be better for it. Just stay encouraged. God is working on you and you will see evidence of that as time goes on.

Also a "fun fact": Approximately 75% of the world's population is lactose intolerant.
What's even more interesting is that raw whole milk contains all the enzymes needed to digest it, the pasteurization process destroy most of those enzymes. By far the majority of lactose intolerant people would likely be unaffected by raw milk but few states permit the sale of it.

You can thank the FDA and a small portion of the medical society (not all of it, mind you. Whoever made up tue myplate stuff is at fault) for the fear mongering. Raw milk is bad, whole milk is bad too because its too high in fat. But you know, MSG and sucralose which are poisonous are fine to put in foods. You'd be astonished if you saw the list of ingredients that are allowed in foods. Some are even known carcinogens. But you think they care? Hahahahano.

I don't do conspiracy theories, but how could someone not be suspicious of them, really?

So yesterday I was put on the "safe list" at work. That basically means I'm allowed to work 40 hours a week. Then the boss fired the maintenance man (for good reasons, which I will not go into.) Then he thought, "Oh yeah, Isaac is on the safe list!" So he asked me to do maintenance Friday. Then later he asked me to do maintenance stuff today for a good few hours before I started my normal job.

So after four hours of sleep last night I worked from 5am to 4:30pm. Then we had praise team practice just a few minutes ago. And tomorrow I gotta be there at 4am.

Hooray for Moser Roth 85% cocoa chocolate bars! Caffeine rocks.
