I sure hope the rest of my semester isn't going to be like this (I don't think it is).
I do have a very busy week, yes. This semester I'm taking four classes, working full-time, and attending three Bible studies (one of which I lead). For the next four weeks I am also volunteering for 6-8 hours per week helping people do their taxes (it really benefits them for obvious reasons but also me professionally). I'm also trying to find time in my schedule for sufficient sleep, exercise, and quite time with God. This is all possible to pull off, but sometimes life happens and it kind of messes things up.
My sister had a really hard year about fours years ago dealing with depression and anxiety and this week that year was the week that it really hit her hard, so this week of the year has been particularly hard for her since then. So I ended up staying up late talking to her on Monday night. Then a friend of mine was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia so I hung out with him until late on Wednesday. Over the past couple days I could sense myself getting sick, so last night I surrendered and skipped class, and then decided to take a sick day today (praise the Lord for PTO). I think all of my lack of sleep is catching up to me. The thing is, I can't skip class every week or take a sick day every week, so I'm hoping that things will slow down a bit.
Also, I read out of My Utmost For His Highest to start off my day today, and it was pretty awesome:
