Zeroturbulence, you just gained a lot of points in my book for your love of Left Shark. I'm a Left Shark fanatic as well!

Bahahahaha these are hilarious.

It's funny though. Since Katy Perry's performance at half time, Mikey Cyrus was forgotten immediately. Katy Perry will be the one that is now constantly talked about for the next six months. Lol

So I looked up the Left Shark meme.

They really had that at the Super Bowl? Cartoony sharks and moving trees dancing around? I thought you were referring to some kids show like the Wiggles or Barney or something.

I am sooooooooooooooooooo glad I don't follow sports.

The hilarious thing is that the song even had less to do with the sharks then you even would think. And Katy Perry was legitimately in a dress that was color patterned to make her look like a beachball. XDDDDD

No, it was seriously the best halftime show ever! Pretty tame as far as inappropriate dress goes, and freaking awesome with the dancing palm trees, beach balls, and sharks :D

It is 73 degrees outside. I have the windows open. I smell someone burning wood in their firepit and so right now I want nothing more than to be camping.

I began working on my stained glass cat. I was going to make it pink, but couldn't find the right kind. Plus, pinks and reds and yellows are expensive, since gold is used in the process. I went with a pinkish lavendar...kind of a Pepto Bismol color for the cat, which looks better than what I just described. It's going to have black tiger stripes made from foil overlays treated with a patina, glue chip (textured translucent) background, some streaky green and dark creme along the border and bevels in the corners.

I just now broke the piece that was to be the cat's body while cutting, which was weird, since it wasn't a hard piece to cut. I salvaged a piece of it to cut the head, which gave me problems the first time I made this project a few months ago. I ended up bisecting the head because I couldn't do it without it breaking. This time, I used the grinder for the difficult curve and have the head in one piece! So I end up breaking the easy piece and nailing the difficult piece. Go figure. Wish I could stay and work on it some more, but have to shuffle off to a gig. :) glass grinder.jpg

Pics coming!

Where are you?! I'm so jealous...
I'm in southwest Missouri. :) Our weather has been so back and forth lately, but that's typical of Missouri. Last Sunday it snowed, this Sunday (tomorrow) the high is 67 and I'm going to a barbecue at a friend's house for dinner.

Hey, all! I'd like to ask you all a favor. Pray for God's provision. If I plan to go to college and keep my animals, I need to get things sorted out financially. I don't know if it will be possible or not, but if anyone can pull it off it's God.

Guys I tried the pinterest "brownie in a mug" thing. It worked wonderfully though it was a bit dark chocolaty. All I gotta say is it is super duper heavy. I feel I legitimately ate another meal and the brownie only came up to the halfway point of like a 10 ounce mug. D:

I made a brownie in a mug recipe, and the first time I could barely finish it all. I felt miserable after. So, I halved the recipe and it's much better that way. :)

CatHerder: Pics, paypal link and shipping! I would love a stained glass cat. (And this is coming from someone who doesn't do knick-knacks. I really would like a stained glass cat, it would be the one and only non-book on the bookshelf.)

And can you do a panther? :D

Accidentally did things a bit backwards. I completed my FAFSA then applied for school. Oh, well. I got the application in, and I don't even think I'll get any federal aid anyhow.

Congrats on getting your FAFSA completed! What school did you apply for?

A decent sized liberal arts college just 30 minutes north of where I already live. :) Since they don't have an actual nutritional science there I applied for their pre-med, hoping I can take a nutritional direction with it. :) My youth pastor and his wife go there! They're actually the ones that convinced me to attend. They were like, we wish you lived here and went to school here! Well I can't live on campus with my pets, but God willing I'll find something up there that's close to the school. I'm pretty sure they'll accept me, I just need to figure out where my high school transcript is, because I never got it in the mail, or so I thought. Dad told me after Mom died he got a boatload of mail and surprisingly he hasn't gone through it.
