Thanks everybody :) and blue_ladybug I love your craziness.

Overall, today went very well, I had this powerful confidence that came from the Holy Spirit today and God gave me this assurance that I can be strong and that it gives people the ability to admire it.. Not for me, but for the Lord.
I just was so enveloped in the spirit today the attacks of the enemy were weak... it was a good feeling.

It's bedtime, sleepiesis.

In local news we found my dog today. Well, the family was over and Aunt Lucy found my dog. A few days ago I noticed the dog wouldn't come out of her house even for breakfast, and she didn't look very happy. She was a very old dog though, so perhaps arthritis. Next day she was gone, and today she was still gone. Aunt Lucy found her out at the edge of the woods where she lay down and died.

My other dog seems to not even notice the absence, and this dog lived a long and mostly peaceful life, but it still kinda hurts. Of course the other dog is an australian shepherd, so he'll be full of energy no matter what.

I'm thinking about getting a cat after the weather warms up a bit. It'll have to be an outdoor cat so it'll have to get used to winter, but I don't want to get a cat and leave it out there in midwinter. I'd rather get a cat when it warms up a bit and let it get used to winter as it comes up next year.
Sorry to hear that, Lynx.

still floating in limbo but learning to do the backstroke.
is there a goal to head to? an end of something or the beginning of something? both?
eternity is a long time.
is there an up or down in heaven? do the laws of relativity even exist? relatively speaking of course.

Sorry blue_ladybug, I have other plans. Going to work today.

(Been waiting months, MONTHS to use that line, ever since someone at a checkout line was told "Have a nice day" and he replied, "Sorry, I have other plans.")

In the Bible Study Forum jokes are irrelevant. Or taken literally. Or not understood at all. Or all three, but they are never, ever appreciated.

Now if you can yell at someone and back up what you are yelling about with Bible verses (in context or taken out of context) that is appreciated.

My laptop gave up the ghost. Kicked the bucket. Bought the farm.

But!!! Our tax refund came in yesterday. I think we can solve the laptop problem pretty quick.

In other news, my parents have this cat that used to belong to me...Demitri, one of those black and white Felix lookalikes. He's barely eleven years old. I saw him Saturday, and went to pet him and let him bite me like he always does...but he just lay there on his side and wouldn't move. When he finally lifted his head, I saw a huge growth on the side of his little whiskery face. Kitty cancer. I asked my parents why they don't have him put to sleep, because he's obviously miserable and there's nothing to be done for him. I was actually pretty angry that they're letting him suffer like that...but then my stepdad- a man who has never, never shown any kind of sadness- got teary-eyed and picked up the kitty and Demitri started purring. My mom told me later that she suggested putting the cat to sleep, but that she's never seen a cat so attached to anybody as Demitri is to my stepdad, and she figures that as long as the cat can still eat and move around on his own, there's no sense taking them away from each other.

I dunno. I'm kinda bummed about the whole thing, I like that cat. And I hate, hate, hate cats.

Aw, Cristen, I was so sorry to read about your stepdad's kitty. :(

I don't know why, but every time I get in my car lately, I want to push the accelerator all the way down (140 mph) and just GO for it. I'm not the type to do something reckless or dangerous. I just have a need for... something. Some kind of craving I can't define, so I've been asking God what's wrong with me.

I just want to GO... to GET OUT, and break out of this mold. Back home I had a job situation in which I had 4 weeks vacation so I usually went on 2-3 trips per year... After moving I've had to start over and I'm having terrible cravings for speed, adventure, and novelty... (this is what took over when I realized I wouldn't be having a family any time soon.)

Either that, or maybe it's some kind of mid-life crisis, I don't know.

Usually I satisfy my need for speed on roller coasters, but unfortunately... there's nothing tall enough, big enough, or fast enough around here. I kind of wish whatever it is (a need for intensity), it would just pass. One of the worst feelings in the world is having an intense need for something and not being able to meet it.

How DARE you try to parody Taylor Swift?? She is not to be the object of parody, she is to be worshiped and adored (from a respectable distance, of course). I won't stand for this, where's the moderator??? Taylor Swift is America's snow globe, for Pete's sake.

You could always just shake it off, shake it off... shake it off, shake it off.
