I let Lily out in the backyard today. Did some things inside. Went back out, saw she had gotten muddy all over her shoulders, neck, and some of her face. I go back inside, wet a washcloth, go back out and try to wipe it off. It's seemed to have dried on, and then that's when I realize...it's not mud. She's not really one to roll in...gross stuff... I have a new neighbor with a dog, so I'm wondering if she was running the length of the fence and tripped and fell down in it?
Either way, it was horribly disgusting. I brought her inside, put her in the bathtub, had a fairly difficult time bathing her since I don't have a removable shower head. Did my best. I have bathed her before, but not while trying to get something out of her fur. When she was done, I could still sort of smell it. But then, the removable shower head that I ordered came, so I installed it myself (I was pretty proud of that, not that it was difficult but it makes me feel like an adult) and then bathed her again. She wasn't too pleased, but I got it all out. I received a bath in the process.
Then I baked mashed potato pie for my work's food day tomorrow, did dishes, cleaned the bathroom, did laundry, cleaned the cat boxes, swept, and mopped. Tomorrow the high is 70 so when I come home, I'm opening all windows and relaxing.
