That moment...when you're making an omelette and you mess up on a flipping and instead of an omelette you now have what I call a breakfast scramble...0 for 1 at least I have the rest of the week to bring up my flipping average huh? Good thing there's almond joy coffee creamer in the fridge...it makes this L turn into a W :) :)
I just make scrambled eggs with stuff in 'em. Who cares if it's not an omlette. It's not like I'm cooking for points!

What'd you put in your eggs today, Mo?

@Zero - Santa Monica? Or did you go elsewhere? I had a good time that evening you and I went to SM. :)

Oh you have no idea! :D
I always go to Huntington. SM's too far for me. Glad you had a good time. I know you've been working hard and you deserve it. :)

Just had coffee and then a meeting with a guy who is going to mow off the horrible gorse in my yard.

Since then I have been looking at 50s style dance dresses for my friends and I. We're going to a sock hop street dance in town for the Cranberry Festival. And they are going to let me dress them up. And I am so excited!!! And we're going to be the cutest things going! <3 We're all about the same size so I will keep the dresses for the future... WOOT!

My problem: I've had a headache today.

My (slightly demented) solution: Vanilla goat's milk ice cream with half of a peach.

I might get more because it tasted amazing. I'll try to grab some form of protein (okay, okay, AND a veggie) before I do though.

you have them over there too?
I think they are beautiful (but not very fun to pitch a tent in: OUCH!)
... can imagine them being a pain if they invade your lawn though

Yeah, the Irish man who founded the town was homesick and brought it over. Bless him. The gorse has burned down the town twice. :(

boss: it makes me mad that [explains].
me: it makes you mad? or mayyad? when you say mad with 2 syllables, it takes it to a whole other level.

God help my boss understand my weirdness.

I have completely failed to water any portion of the yard since we got back from vacation. And yet, 1/4 of the grass is still alive, two pretty flowers are blooming, and the pumpkins are getting huge. Well, the plants...I should check for gourds. NO PHONE, I DO NOT WANT TO ENABLE DICTATION, STOPPIT. So yeah, I totally killed the strawberries off. Why have I been entrusted with such a ginormous yard?

LOL! I need a friend like this. That would make me laugh, even while being mayyad :p

I might have raised my hipster status by a few points today - I recently signed up for one of those boxes you get once a month (the first one was free and I could cancel at any time, because it goes by a monthly basis). It's one of those food boxes, made by a company called Graze. They send you fairly healthy snacks in the mail. I've sampled a little bit of all of them and it's really good. I'm really happy with it. I'm thinking I'll stick with it... not 100% sure yet. It's nice to get little things like this. I had a headache today and wasn't feeling the greatest. I didn't really know when my box was coming in, so when it came in today I was pretty happy about it. ^.^ The person who delivered it didn't ring the doorbell so it was probably out there since this afternoon. But I don't mind that too much because that means the dog wasn't disturbed. (That's how I typically know when someone's at the door, or there's a box for me - the dog goes nuts.)

it's actually kind of a pretty plant....but I can see how it'd easily become a nuisance.

Is it anything like a Grassy Knoll?

Or, for Catherder, a Glassy Knoll (in reference to his stained glass hobby...)

Gorse is really pretty when it's in bloom in March. But it always has like 2" spikes every other leaf. It makes a great hedge, but if you get stuck in it, you'll get messed up. Horrible scratchy stuff.

Popcorn is for sure not healthy. Pretty much no matter how you prepare it. Though I still love it on the occasion.
Fresh-popped popcorn is reasonably okay for you. A dash of coconut oil, a sprinkle of salt and a whole lot of popcorn kernels cooked on the stove-top. I can't abide popcorn in a microwave bag. It's so tasteless, expensive and unhealthy.
