Some of the Dutch I know I learned by looking up Dreamworks and Disney clips with songs I knew in English / Norwegian in Dutch language with lyrics and translation

Speaking of Disney, I made my own interpretation of He lives in you a while back

Night and the spirit of life, calling.

- Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Wait! there's no mountain to great,
- For nothing is impossible with God

Hear these words and have faith. Have faith.
- I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life

He lives in you. He lives in me
- The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.
We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

He watches over everything we see-
- I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand'

Into the water, into the truth
- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth

In your reflection, He lives in you!
- For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said,
‘For we are also His offspring.

I'm listening to punk rock while packing.

You have permission to judge me. But my love for Relient K will never die. I've listened to them for most of my life. Starting around 7-8 years old.

Who's going to judge you? I would think everyone's level of respect for you would sky-rocket ;)

That was actually the only Christian band I used to listen to when I was an atheist. They are great. I don't listen to any of their new stuff, but their old music holds that special place in my heart ;)

What's your favorite album?

Oh gosh...it's tough to pick. Birds and Bee Sides is really good. But MMHMM holds a special place in my heart. "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" and "Be My Escape" were the first songs I ever heard from them, followed by "Marilyn Manson Ate My Girlfriend," "Forgiven," and "The Best Thing." "Sunny with a High of 75" is somewhere in there. And then the past year or two my love for them has just grown. When my mom was sick/dying I decided to start listening to them again.

They were actually in my area on the day of my birthday. It was for the 10th anniversary of their album MMHMM so they played the entire album live. Front to back. Sounds even better live.

I guess I'll pick MMHMM. XD I remember when my sisters and I would watch their music videos on TV and we would dance to it and sing to it. (As I said. I was 7-8 at the time. That's what 8 year olds do. xD)

I only liked this because of pikachu. I have no idea what pans labyrinth is.
Pan's Labyrinth is the most unforgettable adult fairy tale you'll ever see.

But it is hauntingly beautiful in its own way.

You'll never "look" at these kinds of stories the same way again.

Pan's Labyrinth is not for everyone. I originally wanted to see it BECAUSE of the creatures, because I love fantasy. It's in Spanish, so I had to go by the English subtitles.

The main creatures are played by an amazing body actor named Doug Jones, who was also Abe Sapien in the Hellboy movies and the Silver Surfer in the older Fantastic 4 movies.

I also loved that the director admitted the young girl he cast in this movie was the exact opposite of what he envisioned, but her style (big curly hair) and personality won him over. The main character makes a heart-wrenching sacrifice in the story, and you love her all the more for it.

It's shockingly violent, though, and one scene in particular (war interrogation) caused me to look away.

I've never seen Pan's Labyrinth...I'm scared to see it now though. LOL
Is it related to The Labyrinth (1986)?
