Aw! This is so cute and made me a little sad, haha. I actually never got Easter baskets as a kid, and never gave my kids baskets, but we did always do stockings at Christmas, and I still do for my teens. It will be a sad day when I no longer sneak into the livingroom on Christmas Eve and set out their stockings. :p
haha, I probably haven't gotten once since I was like, 14, but before Mom died, typically every year we'd have a "community" Easter basket. Big white basket, green "grass", Butterfinger eggs, regular mini eggs, "Reeseter" bunnies (Easter bunnies that were Reese's), and other things like that. I loved it.

I think I miss my mom and the tradition and her being there for it more than I do the other things. You start noticing things like that when you're not noticing she's not there.

Does anyone here work out? I've been running and now I want to start strength training. I just don't know what exactly to do or how much weight I should start with. Also what would be better, weights or resistance bands?
Keep in mind I don't want to bulk up like a man, but I do want to tone.

If you haven't already, check out shine's Fitness, Fitness, Fitness! thread--lots of discussion and great information about this very subject!

We all also keep encouraging each other to keep going on our "Blah" days. :)

My advice would be to skip the weights and do plyometrics (exercises that use your body as weight.. like pushups). They will burn more calories and tone muscles about 10 times faster than weights.

This lady has great plyo workouts that will burn calories and tone in just a few minutes... (sort of like those P90X exercises)

You'll want to take everything you read on that fitness thread with a grain of salt because no one there is a certified trainer as far as I know. The lady in the plyometrics video is a certified trainer.

I knew there was a thread about it on here but I had forgotten where. Thank you Kim for reminding me about it! ZT, I've heard of plyometrics before but don't know much about them. I'll definitely check that lady's videos out! I'm excited! :D

I'm sitting here... having my morning coffee... reading comments about my fluffy puppy... and to think, she has grown a little bit since that pic was taken. I took that back in... the beginning of February? Anyways, she is the BIGGEST cuddle bug, but yet so playful... and energetic... and crazy when shes super hyper!! lol I know it's only cause she is 9 months old... but holy smokes... lol Just wait and get a puppy they say... you wont want kids after you get a puppy they say...

Welp, folks guess what...? Littlebit, wants her OWN Littlebit..... Nice try, trying to tell me to get a puppy and it will change my mind.... yea... not so much lol :p

That's why you get a puppy. Not to dissuade you from having a child, but to determine whether you can tolerate having a child.
