I'm grateful for those of you who have welcomed me here. It has been such a joy to visit normal from time to time.

In the normal world people can meet at a convenience store and go for coffee. In my world, a lady sits in a restaurant with her back to the wall where she can see all windows/doors, with her legs crossed in a way that makes it easy to access her ankle holster in case the guy walking toward her has more in mind than offering to buy her a drink.

In a normal world people can post photos of their children on Facebook (though I seriously question the wisdom from what I've seen). In my world, one discourages a child from any Internet activity and checks every photo to be sure no name or location is detectable.

In a normal world most people are thinking about what to make for dinner upon arrival at home. In my world, a gap in my front drapes sets off a red flag that someone may have been in my house (which happened earlier this year).

In a normal world people don't have to wonder whether a sales call or wrong number call was really a wrong number or sales call.

It has been wonderful to escape from staying one step ahead of the pack to read about normal problems.

I thank you also for the privilege of knowing you, loving you, sharing with you and praying for you. It has truly been an honor and I wish you all God's most abundant blessings. <3

Mmmmm price-reduced chocolate. Did you know that the typical kid's Halloween bag of loot contains approx. 4800 calories, 1 1/2 fat and 2 cups of sugar. Yup. AND yet I'm still munching. I swear we will discover 50 years from now that a regular chocolate bar has some powerful drug the equivalent to cocaine. Imagine chocolate becoming illegal and there was thugs selling chocolate bars on the street.

This....is why I eat dark chocolate. :p Well, it's also because I can't have 90% of the chocolates out there in the world.

Macy's, JcPenny, Target, Sears, Kmart and more will be open on Thanksgiving Day. I don't know why they even bother to call it Thanksgiving anymore. Why don't they just call it, the day before you buy stuff for people that they don't need. And be done with it.

I know this has been going on for a long time now. I don't shop on black Friday because I can't stand crowds, plus I can't stand the, "I have to have this at this cheap price, it doesn't matter who I trample and kill to get it. It doesn't matter that some person can't have some time with their family, as long as I get this huge big screen TV for my over weight video game addicted 12 year old." I know that's not always the case, but seriously, are we that me centered that we can't let the people who work in retail have Thanksgiving Day off? I remember going on our trips to my Grandma's an hour away, everything was closed, you might find a convenience store or gas station open, but there would be no grocery stores or retail stores open. If you didn't have it and couldn't find it at something that was open, then oh well.

It makes me sad to see what this country values as important. We've been on this decline since and before the Cabbage Patch kid days. That's when most of this madness started, I think it was 1984 or 1985, I was 14 or 15 and people were hurting each other to get these fat faced ugly dolls. I still can't stand those dolls. If you're going to kill your neighbor for a toy make it at least a cool toy like a Nintendo or a Barbie that dances.

Oh Lord help us get our priorities straight in this country!

Sorry for the long drawn out speach. If I am ever president there won't be anything open on holiday's period!

I got:
You are Lucy van Pelt. You know what you want and you know how to get it, even if it means pulling the football away. Your forwardness sometimes comes off as aggression, and you have some work to do in the sensitivity department.

Hahahahahaha! :)

BrainFall.com - Which Peanuts Character Are You?

This is a fun little quiz. :) I got Charlie Brown, and it was pretty accurate, actually.
I got a tie between Sally and Snoopy:)
You may not be the most ambitious person, but life isn't supposed to be hard! You are relaxed and easy-going, but you can hold your ground when you want, too.
You have a vivid imagination and lead a rich inner life. Everyone likes you, but some don't understand that you may just be of another species.
I love this last part:) So me:)

so I had to take the How sweet are you quiz.. I am such a sucker for them :) love to see if they get close:) they often do :)
You are Sweet as Candy. You are as Sweet as Candy! You love life and look forward to everything it has to offer. You are enthusiastic and persuasive and can make others feel shiny on a bleak day! You are not so sweet that it irritates people, but you are absolutely one of the nicest and kindest people in the world. You are popular and people naturally drift to you when they are in need of some cheering up!

not sure If I can shine people up ..or if I am popular but I know in my church they do come for me for cheering up:) yay!:) this was fun:)
