I found this online earlier tonight and thought I would share.

Hemingway is a writing checker that is absolutely brilliant.

  • checks all spellings for you
  • checks if you’re over-using adverbs
  • picks out over-complicated sentences
  • suggests replacements for over-complicated phrases
  • picks out the passive voice
  • tells you how readable your text is (Grades/College level/etc)
  • calculates reading time

Bookmarked to my favorites. Thanks!

At Chick-fil-A they ask for your name in the drive thru. I gave them Bruce(already not my actual name). They said, "Chris." Sure. Close enough lol.

So I unintentionally bypassed a co-worker by surprise tonight, and his reaction was:

co-worker: "GGGAAAAAHHHH!!!! Why do you always have to sneak up on me like that???"

me: "Because I have to practice my ninja skills regularly or they get rusty..."

co-worker: "I never even saw you!!"

me: "Well, the only reason you're even seeing me right now is because I want you to. Normally, I'm invisible..."

Co-worker rolls eyes and throws his hands in the air. (I seem to get that a lot.)

me: i'm not about to fight with the fax machine. i've spent all day fighting this (points to printer) machine.
boss: .... so much sass in this room.
me: it's like the terminator. it's an uprising!
I HATE fax machines.
Thankfully I only got like 1-2 calls a year about them doing tech support. I was always tempted to say "What on earth are you using a dinosaur invention for?!" :p

Yesterday in the train the conductor said: are you always so sweet? Here you have stickers.

Later some people said: a day without stickers is a day not lived. I forgot that he also put one on my face lol.

You know it's gonna be a long night when you're steeping a green tea bag... IN YOUR COFFEE... because that's the closest thing you can get to a super-shot of caffeine without setting up an IV...

Ah, I remember the days when I worked at a Taco Bell... the mountain dew spigot, you could lift the guard and access the individual syrup and carbonated water levers. I would get a cup of tea concentrate - brewed tea before it was diluted by water - and add a shot of mountain dew syrup to it. That was a great wakeup when I was short on sleep.
