You sound very at peace and happy. That's really cool. Where east do you want to go, exactly? And what language do you want to learn?

I am trying to learn Spanish listening to TV shows and trying to read stuff online. I know a little French and Dutch. I always wanted to go to Scotland but now I'm not so sure. I'm re-thinking of doing more exploring out west (Nevada, New Mexico, California). Also, I'd like to write a science book for my grandchildren.

I miss exploring the world with my husband, who passed over 10 years ago. I wouldn't mind having a companion again. But like you said, not for status reasons. It's just that it's so very nice to share with someone who gets happy and excited about every new adventure with a childlike heart, ya know?

In the meantime, I'm still out exploring on my own.

I just took these pictures 2 days ago on my adventures:

Heeey. Scotland is great!
If you stay in the east you get away from the worst of the rain :p

I want a travel companion as well, be it for Scotland or elsewhere.

Do you ever have moments where you randomly feel starved for knowledge/life skillz?

It's not nice to shatter people's delusions of adequacy by saying stuff like that Abby. Most ignorant jerks can't handle the truth that they really are ignorant jerks and that's why they get persecuted. After all what have they got to fall back on, if they realize that no they aren't actually the super godly and righteous people with special secret revalations that they believe themselves to be.
We're not? o_O

I mean... yeah, they're not. Yeah.

It's sad that a whole generation doesn't understand what the term, Jumped the shark, refers to.

I just spent money on propane that went to the wind, because it leaked... I don't know how to fix it, so my little family is stuck in a cold camper with space heaters, and money that could have gone somewhere else, is wasted now. Lovely. It's going to freeze overnight, tomorrow, which means no water. Nothing will get done with our house until we can get a surveyor out here, which means more money, and I don't know how soon we can get it done.
I have a month. I'm freaking out.

I think it's interesting how Kaine's mic is louder than Pence's... and once again the questions are about things Trump did or said and not a single question about Clinton's email scandal or the clinton foundation or her use of unsecure servers, etc...

Quick Drive By -

Guys. I bought fall riding boots. I don't know if that was a good bet or not. Do you think it would be useful in winter (functional or fashionable)? Let me know in case I should return it.

I have no idea how to dress for the climate here (which is cold). I end up looking at the people around me and making assumptions based on what they wear.

I may just end up keeping it because it is fashionable but it's still not something that I am absolutely in love with. I bought ankle boots which I always adore and already own a pair, but the riding boots are something that I am on the fence about..

Here's how it looks like -
