And he is self described non Christian. No wonder he get on everyone's nerves. Ugly's claim my post was off topic is not valid. I made a suggestion that my subject might result in the topic being discussed was more commonplace. Nothing wrong with exploring all avenues, but cinder seemed to take exception calling it fringe. The evil in today's society is anything but fringe. :(
My post on the BDF and fringe ideas was about something completely unrelated (that's why I didn't quote your post, this is streams of consciousness, multiple topics overlap all the time). It was about the post I made over in the BDF. Ugly has been struggling with a lot of disappointment in people and God and chronic physical suffering and health issues for a while, that he's come to the point where he isn't sure about if he still trusts God and can properly wear the label Christian (Hope I summarized that about correctly there Ugly) does not automatically make him a horrible or evil person. And his response to your post was mild and was not the attack you took it to be. Truthfully I hope I never go through all the crap he's had to go through, but if I do I hope I can handle it half as well as he has.

I remember awhile back, Ugly was saying we needed more moderators. I think he was trying to make a back door case for himself becoming a mod.

Could you imagine the despotic landscape CC would become.?

It's bad enough when a couple of teenage girls start talking about someone "behind their back" but when two supposedly mature men do it out in the open it really is rather disappointing.

That is the very reason it was out in the open. We hope he can take a little criticism now and then to see at how his reactions affect others. It seems it was a misunderstanding anyway (see #62321), and I apologize to him. Ugly I am sorry.

How’s my application, post #62,320, for a mod position being handled?

😇.

It's just so annoying when people are talking down to others as if they know everything.

I call myself a non-Christian, just in the past few weeks after 30 years of being a Christian.
I'm well aware of my capacity to get on people nerves. It's been a long time now I've figured that out, even without the endless numbers of people constantly reminding me. I do my best with my circumstances which is clearly never enough for people.
I have offered explanations and apologies on the site numerous times and yet even a certain mod was recently quick to attack me and accuse me despite my efforts.
Well for the umpteenth time I am sorry so many of you find me such a horrible worthless wretch.

YOU are not Horrible neither are YOU worthless my friend. NONE of us are at our best all day everyday. When someone is in pain or feeling ill it can take a toll on ones attitude and mood and not everyone knows exactly how to shake it. I will continue to pray for you Ugly. I have seen you give out wisdom and encouragement to others so many times. You have value and worth and a heart. Hang in there buddy.

Hey guys, I have a serious question for you, and would really appreciate anyones thoughts here.

So I recently bought an old n64 game online that Ive wanted to try for a long time. Its a somewhat hard to find game, so it usually cost about 40-50$. But I found a copy from China for half that price.

I looked up buying high end products cheap from China, and the article said it was normal for pricet things to cost less when from China. So I figured it was normal and that I was lucky.

The game arrived the other day, and looking at the cart, its clearly a reproduction. What this means is someone downloaded the emulated version, meaning they paid nothing for it,made their own n64 cart with the game info on it, and sold it to me.

So I bought it, believing I was buying someones used copy, but I got a reproduction unintentionally. So the person I bought the game from has profited on someone elses labor without their consent.

What Im wondering is, would it be wrong for me to play the game? I did not set out to buy a reproduction, but I still bought stolen goods. Would it be wrong of me to use the product I didnt know was stolen, now knowing it was stolen?

As i understand it, the purpose of copyright laws is to protect the profit of the author. If you download a book or a game that you would otherwise buy, that takes money away from the author. However if one obtains a book or a game that does not affect the profit of the author, then "I" consider that not worth worrying about.

If you buy a used car and later find out its stolen is it ok to continue using it?

If there was a very sought after book... And someone painstakingly wrote out a copy of every single page by hand and then bound all the pages together, would that be the same as stealing the book? That is exactly how copies of the bible were made during the middle ages.

Maybe I'm a heathen, but I don't think it's any fault of yours , you paid for it, I'd not worry about it. Your intentions were to pay money for something you wanted... it wasn't your fault you were sent something else.
