Humbled as a Child, which we are called to be humbled, yes cool, praying the head-ache goes away and stays away

I wonder if feeding trolls has a whole self feeding contradictionness to it?

Like people may dislike being bored.
People may dislike feeling emotionally numb.
Yet people also dislike rude people who agitate.

On one hand, engaging the troll helps ease the sense of boredom and emotional numbness, but it leads one to engage the rude behavior that agitates them.

How else can you explain people who keep engaging the troll, even though they know the best thing to do is not engage them?

They know troll posts tend to be like a basketball. If ya quit dribbling it, it tends to stop bouncing so high.(The posts sink to the bottom.) But in defiance of all they know about trolls, they keep on dribbling the basketball, at the same time they complain about that twankg twankg twankg sound coming from the very basketball they keep dribbing.

I like that sentence I highlighted it in Red down there. I saw rude posts n' all what I wished is for it to be ignored rather than people STILL responding to it. But unfortunately people did not stop responding, and so, things gets escalated n' they even go out of topic for the thread!!

If everyone decided to respond to the original idea of the thread, period, there won't be silly arguments and we will all benefit from each other's thoughts!!

This all hinges on being able to identify the troll... which doesn't usually happen until after he has been engaged... :(

I recall George W. Bush, as President-elect, when asked by a journalist to talk about Monica:

"I think we should move on."

Every time I see one of those "bad taxidermy" pictures, I think of a phone call from work. This guy called and asked if we had a "recently deceased white rabbit". I assumed he wanted a feeder (which we don't sell), but he stressed that the rabbit needed to have died of natural causes. He said he was a taxidermist, and that one of his "very good customers" (isn't it a little strange that he'd have a very good customer?) had commissioned a stuffed white rabbit.

The whole time, I was trying to figure out if he was trying to get me to kill a bunny or not. He kept repeating the "natural causes" line, so often that I started to think he didn't mean it. I said that we did happen to have a white rabbit, but I didn't anticipate it... dying any time soon. He said, "Well... if it did die, what would you do with the body?"

As soon as he said that, I thought "He IS trying to get me to kill it!" and, as horrible as it sounds, my brain started coming up with various ways to kill the rabbit and make it look like an accident. "I could choke it! No, that's terrible, I'm not killing... yeah, it might show bruises anyway. Rat poison! That would... seriously, what is wrong with me? I'm not going to kill... but I wonder how much he'd pay me."

I should be ashamed. :p

Thanks for the prayers everyone. :) While Mom is still getting some tests done, it has something to do with her pancreas. Nothing super serious. But definitely painful.

Grrrrrrr.

I'm starting to see some reasoning in the decision of the Catholic church to keep their scriptures in Latin so the individuals were dependent on their priests for interpretation. The misinterpreting, mishandling, and misapplying of scripture has become so infectious that I am genuinely surprised to see it used appropriately. I would like to create a bot that can go through certain threads and correct all of the scripture used out of context. Some would have so much redlining that they would look like they are bleeding.

Has reading become too dangerous of an activity to trust with the general populace? Like procreation, I wish that there were some sort of intelligence prerequisite so those who are unable to engage in the activity responsibly would not be able to figure out how it works.

Okay. Rant over. =)
