well, i understand. i tend to be a person who operates largely from a place of low expectations so that i'm seldom disappointed. and i'm an unabashed optimist.

and under-promise and over-deliver. i always have been afraid of big expectations and hopes that can be dashed.

on the flip side, those things have helped me a lot in life, but they don't steal any joy from me either.

ems, i've been looking for you on chat. i thought you said we were gonna catch up!?!

I was on chat last night only lil was there I will look out for you tonight? :)

Sadness has been a part of my life for so long... and now that things are working out for me I'm too scared to be happy. *sigh*
Em, I probably can't begin to imagine the heartbreak you've gone through in your life. And I'll be first to say, it's not fair people have to go through such things. But you can't deprive yourself of the chance to be happy. You might get your heartbroken, but happy or sad, it will hurt just as bad. Let God be your joy and happiness, and know you can turn to Him if your heart gets broken. Also, you have people on here who love and care about you and will be willing to lend a listening ear. :)

Its no fun when you have top report someone for cussing when you tell them you wont give them your personal info... makes me not wanna go back to the chatroom. Maybe I'm just being touchy cause I don't feel good. Bleh

All this talk of Cuban food has me craving some @ nearly 8am. I remember the first time I ever had Cuban food. I was working @ a comic book shop in West Reading PA in the mall & was trying to figure out what to have for lunch, when one of my co-workers recommended the little Cuban stand in the food court. I decided to try it & was hooked. I think I ate there almost every day for the next 5 months. I wonder if that place is still there?

I've never had Cuban food. It sounds good, we don't have any Cuban restaurants around here. We have a ton of Chinese, Mexican and Italian restaurants though.

I bet you're accent isn't bad at all. I hear a lot of different accents in chat, I like it. I talk to my Cousin's and Aunt and Uncle that live in Sweden on Skype and I love their accents. I actually think German's have nice accents.

I know I'm not in time, but that's really a filthy habit. I had family that did that and you can clearly see there's just no happiness in it....

I feel bad, I think I put extra pressure on my Husband today. He usually works 6 days a week. His day off Sunday is usually spent at church, and doing what ever else we couldn't do that day. It's always rushed and a little stressful. He had today off, I had no idea until this morning, they usually call him in on his day off. He wants the OT. I understand the OT is nice, but I was so happy they didn't call him this morning. Our Daughter has been ill, so having him home to drive my son to school was great. My Daughter was feeling better so we went to the store too.

Well tomorrow we are supposed to go visit friends in Ohio, he said they might want him to work, I said, please don't go, you haven't had a weekend off in a year, please spend it with us. He asked me, well don't you think the extra cash is nice? Of course I do, but I told him, yes, but just one weekend would be great. He felt bad and I said, I didn't mean to make you feel bad I know you work hard for us. He said he was fine and would take the day off, but I know he wants to work for the extra cash.

Is it selfish that I don't care? I want him to come with us to Ohio, relax and have fun with our friends. When we go out we have a sitter for a couple of hours rush to dinner or a movie and that's it. A whole day would be so nice. I know he know's this and is happy but I feel kind of bad asking him not to make extra money, we could use it, but I just want this weekend. I want him to be with us.

I think he will have a nice time and not even think about work. He likes his job and doesn't over talk about it, but like any job it has it's stressful times too.

Ugh sometimes it stinks to be a grown up.

And disclosure to my last post, I'm not griping or looking for advice, I'm not getting divorced and I'm not unhappy so please please please don't tell me to post this in the Family forum, I don't want to. I don't want to hear misery. That might sound awful, but honestly this is not miserable it's just me posting my random thoughts. Thank you!
