Ooh lynx, you going to try online dating too?
Shoot.

I'd throw in $10 towards his membership cost just to see what happens! :D :D :D

His stories alone would be worth the price, several times over. ;)

Nyet. Ixnay. Negatory. I was just idly curious because I'm a nerd and I have a habit of anticipating problems and finding solutions before they happen, or in this case even though they never happen.

And Kim, what about your signature? :p With my luck I'd get a boat full of catfish.

In my dumb early years after divorce I was on dating sites, including a Christian one. I ran into exactly the same thing, just a hi and nothing else. Or wanting to go to bed on the first date.

I met my ex wife the old fashioned way. We met at a mutual friends house. If I were to ever date again (not looking likely due to everyones lack of interpersonal and social skills these days) I would prefer it to be that way. Annnd, its guaranteed local! lol

The guys that cant keep a conversation going are single for a reason. If you cant communicate, you shouldn't be in relationship. He should stay in his moms basement. At least she already knows that he likes the crust cut off his sandwiches! HAHA!!

LOL sassy.

If it's like pulling teeth to get an interesting conversation going, i just can't see it going anywhere.

I heard an episode of a podcast once where a stand up comedian and an anthropologist were analyzing people's texts to each other and analyzing why certain approaches resonated/didn't resonate with women. If I can find the audio I'll link it, because it was pretty interesting, but the gist of it was to avoid being vague, get to the point, set specific times, etc.

So far I'm trying to work out a good time to meet the person who is a little far away, Hopefully I don't get killed and become a lifetime movie.

I can talk to anyone. But it's whether I want to. Some people just take the biscuit.

I don't like catfish, be they living in the river or on the internet.

No stories about my experiences on dating sites, because I have not been on any.

I am still looking for a website that fits my profile of what would maybe be a potential mate.
Not to many requirements...

A Evangelistic driven Christian-vegan-southern black woman-business minded-from 44-ish to 60-ish-willing to help raise two young girls-amenable to relocating to the frozen tundra of Vermont just 40 miles from the beautiful Canadian border ... dating website.
Strange, I can't find one.
Who would think in a country of 300 million people, 150 million of them woman, 17 million of those that are in the age group I am looking for, 1 million yet still that are Christian and vegan, 50,000 of those that are Christian and vegan and black from down south, and 300 that are also business minded and willing to move to VT and raise kids at their age, that there would not be a website devoted to such a group?

I am contacting the ACLU. Where is Hillary when you need her?

Why would that be hard to find?

Dating sites are evil. How about speed dating? Has anyone tried it, even just for fun? Sounds desperate but also exciting. This is really a timely topic since halloween, I mean valentines day is almost here.
Why do I get the feeling that this V-Day I'll be at home online? ...

But a boat full of catfish could be good. Can you imagine the entertainment value of someone trying to make you fall in love with their fake persona when you couldn't care less? Or would that make you a catfish being on a dating site but not really interested in dating. and of course if you actually caught a catfish, well they're pretty tasty.

A catfish is pretty tasty, specially for a cat.

Catfish are bottom feeders. They are the roaches of the river. Give me a halibut steak or a big grouper fillet or even a chunk of salmon.

That never happens to me for some reason.
