I was a nobody in high school. I didn't go to my senior prom. I would never go to a dance. As for church I've gone to parties by that's about it. I'm whole loads of fun right?

Welcome to the thread, Socreta!!!

I'm very glad to see you here.

If I may say so, you were one of the people I had in mind when I wrote this and the Yearbook thread, because I was hoping the format might be somewhat more inviting to people who might otherwise be reluctant to post.

You are not alone.

Many of us here--including myself--confess to being "nobodies" as well. I can very clearly remember the faces of the popular, pretty girls laughing at me, and the reasons why they laughed.

Fortunately, we are all "someone" in Christ, and maybe we can all help each other find the "someone" that He wants us to be. :)

This is just soooooooo wrong.:eek:
But it feels so right.
I probably shouldn't admit this...

But I can totally see Tommy as a combination of John Travolta... and Elvis... and completely tearing it up on the dance floor.

This should be pretty amusing.

I'm thinking that it's going to be a matter of "Stayin' Alive" while breaking out the "Jailhouse Rock." :p

I could totally see you wearing that white suit, including the vest... and, not to be missed, the black shirt with the UUUUUUGGGGEEEE pointed collar. ;)

I think the suit is quite fashionable.

Thanks you for all the kind words. It means a lot. I haven't been on this site that often past few weeks so that explains why I took so long to find this thread.

I remember my Junior and Senior Proms. If I had to do it all over again, I'd show enough courage to ask the girls to the prom instead of the girls asking me. In both proms, I ended up dancing with a bunch of girls, not just my dates, so days later I started to question the whole idea of exclusivity in dances when it's just dancing. (Yes, preacher guy from Footloose, it's just dancing.)

And SS, your profile avatar is lovely, and I have no hesitation in asking you to dance with me. :)
