I thought every resourceful lady carried a torch in her purse.....I mean you just never know when you're gonna need to cut through steel.
This is true.

I used to carry a lot more in my purse, but finally came to the resolution, that if I ever needed the corkscrew and swiss-army-knife I was carrying, that my life was probably coming close to ending, and the other things in my bag would all become superfluous lol.
That and it was super-annoying at airport terminals haha so I took them out.

HAHAHAH! Yes, a flashlight!

I keep forgetting 'torch' has an altogether different meaning for you... lol yes, I carry the olympic torch in my purse...why don't you?
Interesting word study, little wonder there is so much confusion with Bible study words. Don't tell them what a 'bonnet' or a 'fag' is tho, let them guess. :)

I keep a Bible in my car (an audio version too) :) I've never found a NT in a version I like that was small enough for my purse :(

oh awesome! :)

and I was given a small NT...it's about the size of my hand, if that gives any indication on how big it is...though hand sizes vary...but my hand is not very small but not very large. So it's kinda inbetween. but yeah...it's a good sized NT...I think it's King James and the color is bright orange! haha

Depending on what translation you prefer, how good your eyes are, and how small your purse is, they are out there. I have a complete bible in the NIV that stays in my glove box, it's small enough to fit in my back pocket.

Pocket magnifiers fit on key-rings or come in credit card sizes to fit in a wallet (with protective cases), they also fit into an altoids tin. Some are dual power (e.g. providing both a 3x AND a 5x magnification) - you can even start a fire with them on a sunny day. Shop around, mileage (quality, functionality) may vary. A cover / slipcase is important to keeping scratches off the surface, and a smooth surfaced magnifier tends to attract and hold less dirt. They are available everywhere from Walmart to Amazon for just a few dollars US.

Small Kleenix packet, pens, money, credit card, driver's license, pain killers, club cards, keys (in the right hands, they are a deadly weapon), sunglasses, cell (can't leave home without it. It's how I can stay organized somewhat.) Like Jules, I generally keep a Bible in my car (usually the one I take to church.)

Maybe we should also do a thread on what we keep in our cars. Or just add it to here.

Ummmmm, NO. You ladies are known for having a boat load of stuff in your purses, I'm known for having a ship load of stuff in my truck.....something about being a tradesman.

Maybe that's what we need to help us read some of the threads around here :)
Hmmmm, I think you're onto something here.

For the heck of it, I did decide to do a car inventory...it was interesting haha.

I could probably live out of my car if need be, and I found some shoes I'd been looking for...

Hey, Iraa. Speaking of shoes. You might like this. :D

The other day I went to Amish country and I visited a chocolate factory...and they had shoes made out of chocolate. :D

The makeup is not the one I want to ask about.
