This is an excellent point, Shamrocker.

There are several lovely married people here who might be able to answer your questions, as well as several very compassionate married women in the ladies' forum.

I would suggest maybe asking a married woman here or in the Women's Forum if they would be willing to PM or even meet you in a chat room to talk sometime.

Do we have any married ladies in the audience who would like to help Shamrocker out?

Shamrocker, would it be ok if they PM'ed you?
yes you may pm me :).
I don't need help. I was just saying that married people want to chat with the singles and see whats going on and give insight

One of the things I think is unique about the Singles Forum is that we have a very "Coffee House" kind of vibe. It's kind of like, pour yourself your favorite drink, pull up a chair, get comfy, and stay a while, no matter who you are. We have people here from all walks of life.

I don't think most of the other forums have that. For the sake of time, I almost always stay in Singles but make occasional ventures "outside the wall." The Bible Forum--I don't even have to explain. The Family Forum is mostly people looking for help during a crisis, which is completely admirable, but not really a "let's all stick around and get to know each other" atmosphere. Miscellaneous is more random, with everything going in every direction and no central theme to tie it together (which is fun, but can be harder to follow.) And I think I can count on one hand the number of times I post in Teens in a year, because I might read something here and there, but I want to respect their space.

I've had lots of people comment on my bantering back and forth with people in all kinds of humorous situations. To me, this is my favorite thing about the forums. I love trading wit (or sometimes just taking it... in a bucket!!) with people here, and the ones I do so regularly with are those I've observed for a long time, have "tested out the waters with", and know what I can "get away with." :p

I am always looking for people to trade witty remarks with. I just often refrain from doing so until I really get a good feel for the individual's personality because I don't want to offend them.

This forum should really be called the "lets just be goofy and hangout section".

Edit: didnt realize you beat me to it Molly. The fun forum it is :p

I wish more married and dating people would quit avoiding it honestly. Lots of my favorite people here are either married or in a relationship.

Shout out to Tourist and JesusLives. You two are not allowed to leave. Or I will send you sad postcards of wounded puppies until you return

"Stay awhile and listen". If any of you gets this, you are my kind of nerd.

Of course, the puppies were wounded only because people were hugging them too tightly. Man, brother. You got dark! :p

I had no idea you were married either, SkittlePumpkin! Does your husband have equally awesome hair? Is his name SkittleSquash or StarburstPumpkin?
Lol my husband is basically the opposite of me; dark, broody, and only wears black :p And his screen name for online stuff is BlackFrost lol

My asking was because, I wish married people could go in the chatroom to help with stuff.
I'm not in single to find a mate.
Well, they can go into singles chat, unless that has changed. And really singles chat is just goofing off mostly. Not like a lot of help is needed by married people. Even in the forums it's not that important.
And I didn't say you were, I was referencing the question you asked about married people in the singles forum.

If you read the rules it says don't go into the singles room if you are married.

I did not know if the rules were the same in the forums as in the chat.

Thread derail alert:
Coffee house? Really, Kim?
I think it resembles an asylum with a bunch of loonies. And, that's just why I keep coming here. I need my daily shot of insanity in an otherwise sane world. Nobody in my real life knows that I can be so goofy, except, perhaps the ones who are closest to me. So, yeah, this is where I unleash my craziness. :p

I don't know find any problem with married people posting here, as long as they don't get preachy about our single state and as long as they aren't looking for mates here.

Married people are generally miserable people and they come here to forget some of their problems... :)
