I can attest this happens to guys too. Don't know how many times such gals have told me "if it wasn't for HIM i'd be seeing you"...arrgh. Last time I heard that I said "wow, how many times will I hear that this year? She didn't bug me anymore since.
LOL what a horribly stupid thing to say.
I rather just have someone say: me no like you or me only like you as a sister in Christ.
One guy. My, it took so long. Make up your mind already. What do you want? I don't have years time for this. Well he didn't know. I was nice but she was also nice and another dozen were also nice and maybe he just wanted to stay alone. Okay thanks, well then you do know. If you think like that you obviously don't really like me. So now we're just friends. I like to know fast what I'm up to.

The problem isn't, "Why do men disappear"...

It's really more like, "Why do women only see men who have no problem leaving one woman for another.."

Alpha male? Um no. That's called a player with no regard for women.
Alpha male

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An alpha male is the top-ranking male in a mammalian social group.
Origin[change | change source]

Some animals live in a social structure where the most powerful male in the group is decided by either fights or very aggressive battles that sometimes end in death (in the wild). The current alpha male must defend his position from younger members. When he is too old or not strong enough to win, he loses his position in the group. Sometimes, he will die or be forced to leave the group.
The result of this is that the alpha male usually has more opportunity to mate with the available females. This system developed because strong males will produce young which have a better chance for survival.

Maybe in the animal world. But not human. Again alpha males are arrogant and obnoixous thinking they can have anything they want because of they're 'position'? Nope. And single men with this attitude wonder why they're only finding needy, co dependent whiny chicks.

And they should be dropped like a hot potato. They don't deserve a lady's time and attention. That's the alpha female in me talking, no wonder i'm still single.
No. That's called smart. You were created by Christ...far above rubies.

Nope. That's not the definition of an alpha male. Granted they have a higher probability of such traits, but pastors could be seen as alpha males. Men that head and run large non-profit organizations could be alpha males.
Alpha males simply have more confidence, more decisive, more natural leaders, etc... But some beta males can be arrogant and obnoxious as well. Once again, laying blanket statements on people is never effective, nor is it ever accurate.

Humans are animals. We are classified as homo sapiens in the animal kingdom..

Scrolling downward to point out picture and hypothetically quoting the posts that were talking about alpha males as males that were fighting for their position........I don't think I every blanketed a specific group of people. YOu did that by pointing to pastors, leaders of non profits etc.
I think you lost me in the context of the conversation and took out just one of my posts.....but that's ok. Happens all the time.
I agree all those groups you mentioned could be alpha males, but again I'm not talking personality. I was merely speaking on the picture posted. :) Again scrolling down.......

I made zero blanket statements. 'Could be' is not a blanket statement. I simply used a few examples of where alpha males COULD be (could be, as in not every one of them, but areas where they could possibly be found) found that do not reflect negative qualities. Not sure how you got that as a blanket statement.
So i'm not sure how you got 'all pastors and heads of non-profits are alpha males' out of 'men in these positions could be alpha males'.
