That's so wonderful Jilly. I agree with you that not all in the chat room are saved. Some do not have an experience with Jesus. The Bible says that we who are saved are the light of the word. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel. It is truly good that your light shines unto them that have had no experience of this light. May God bless you.

If those sea otters don't pacify Jilly, I don't know what would! Say it with me, everyone: Aaaaaaaawwwwwwww :D.

Now, Mr. Green, I suggest you refrain from making up any more nicknames for Jilly, because the next thing she'll have you doing is finding pictures of arm-wrestling Arthropods, hehehehe :D

Sorry , Jilly,I was about all day playing with nieces and nephew and not around or would have answered you sooner, but could not.

And, I am sorry if I said something that upset, but....

Think of this, girl. Washington Carver, think it was, discovered penicillin in late 1800s, that is another name for antibiotics, which heal bacterial infections . Anyway, it was a miraculous discovery God gave this guy to save the lives of people everywhere from things up until then, like small pox, that you pretty much died from after catching 'it' in the 1800s, and, all time before that going back through the years, which was, well, let's just say it was a long time :(

Up to that time in history, there were people dying at your age even, and, kids, a lot of kids died, because without penicillian antibiotics. Penicillian might be liquid form, I should look it up, but I am too lazy, but antibiotics can be taken intravenously through IV or.... pill form so, it was TOTAL compliment to you, in other words. I was being green and nice to you, like I am to ALL the ladies, try to be, anyway, there is NOT a mean bone in my body. I do sometimes get on guys, the Lord leads, for being disparaging in remarks to the ladies, but I am still being nice . :)
___________________
Jilly, I do like certain mustelids, actually a lot of them fasciinate me. I am fascinated by the otters, OH HOW THEY PLAY when I see them at zoo !! Like the monkeys too, they play in the air is the only difference from the water-wonder previous saids :) And, I want to see a wolverine in the wild someday, not quite as fantastical a dream as going to Africa but, yeah, wolverines seem cool. But Africa! now seeing a green mamba perched in a barren, little tree would be cool, from a distance because they can go up to 35 mph think it is and in Africa, they call a mamba '3-step,' because if you get bit you take three steps and you fall over from heart paralysis and die ..... , I also want to see a huge python snake wallowing in the mud in Australia, going 15 feet up in the air, like a cobra looking ready to STRIKE!, and, slopping down into the mud again, and, doing this act a number of times, for it is not striking but instead stuck in the mud after a flood and, literally, in a quicksand that it is going to drown in :( I saw this on PBS one time 20 years ago, fascinated me. The Lord leads.

The Lord leads, jilly, I hope, and, pray, you let Him, He will direct you wherever you will best go, He knows best. You have heard of the phrase, 'Father knows best,' well, then, God IS your father in Heaven, right. :)

. YOU are a great girl, jilly, I LOVE your exclamations on c.c., they are wonderful posts of proclamation, like this witnessing one, of God our Saviour at work. Awesome!
Great blessings WILL come to you for your work, serving Him, following him, learning and wanting to know Him, genuinely, more. :)

I accept your apology Green, and no problem on the lateness of course. Hopefully none of us hang around CC all day to check constantly as to whether or not we have irked someone :). The otter is very cute; hilarious, even, I would say (picks up otter and gives him a hug). I appreciate you trying to defend the ladies (which you are good at doing), but please don't try to seek employment writing romantic card messages; most females don't like being compared to antibiotics, no matter how important said medicine is (very important, though often abused, in case anyone wondered). Speaking of which.....Don't think you can give erroneous historical medical discovery information to a home-schooled southern belle, Greeny :D. Jenner was the inventor of the small pox vaccine, which isn't affected by antibiotics. Penicillin is the first discovered antibiotic which was grown from mold (it was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928). By Washington Carver, I assume you mean George Washington Carver. He asked God to reveal to him the secrets of the universe, but was told by our creator that the human brain was too finite, and couldn't comprehend such things. He asked then to instead have the secrets of the peanut revealed to him. 300 uses for peanuts later (including peanut butter), Carver was surely glad that he hadn't researched alone :). I should mention that the last story was one I heard on a documentary, rather than the World Book encyclopedia, which was the source of info for the other things I mentioned. Well, I remembered most of it from my youth, but I double-checked to be sure that my pink brains remembered correctly :).

Thank you., jillybeans . :)

OK, so the Jillpill humore didn't go over so well, it was what it was, it is what it is, jilly. And, it wasa meant, as I said, total compliment.
You know, though, since we are on this subject, I was writing for a major daily a long time ago during my college years and I worked one summer in one department and, after going to school that next Fall-Spring, I applied for a higher job for when I got out of college. And...brace yourself, milady, I said that this newspaper drector of publishing looked good in her 'faded yellow dress,' which was meant as TOTAL COMPLIMENT. But she sure didn't think so and anyway, well, needless to say, I NOT only didn't get that better job landed, I LOST my internship job of summer before I had in hand for when I got out of college and could have easily moved up with the company as time went on. It was a bad day at blackrock :( Anyway, the Lord leads, I am thankful of that, for EVERYTHING in my life. :)

Hey, snackersmommy, can you tell jilly that I am not so bad at brain remembrance as she may right now thinky in her pinky (that's her brain, self admittance she did there IF you read above in her '#63' post :D ), Anyhoo, try to convince her thatat least I got the 'guy' part (post #60 is the proof :D ) right of who discovered penicillin and whatever she said of whoever else discovered other stuff so I am not so dumb an owl smart-wise as she thunks, or pink-thinks.

Nooooooo, Mr Green, slugs are gastropods. Arthropods all have exoskeletons. But I think we need to stay one step ahead of Jilly here and give her what she asked for, even though she clearly did not ask:

Anyway, I think I see another thread that could use an immature, amateur, pseudo-zoologist.

,Christians even get littled upset, OK, jilly was A LOT :D Oh Green, if I was a LOT upset, I wouldn't have asked for an amusing picture as compensation, hehe :). I was just a little miffed, that's all. Next time I won't write such a long post insisting on an apology; I overdid it a bit. The reason I did so was to try to make it entertaining to read, rather than a thread derailment, but I failed royally, as everyone can see, and I think that next time.....oops, there I go again :) . Well, anyway, if anyone else is watching this, back to the responses to the posts :)!

I'm not perfect, just forgiven (by Christ). :) By the way, that's one of my favorite bumper stickers :)
My responses are in pink, Green :). Oh, and your internship job story made me smile :).

Oh, and thanks for the arthropod pic, Popclick (hey, a tongue twister! :)).

Yes, Mickey, many of the people in the chat room aren't Christians, even if they claim to be....I recall talking to a man a few months ago, and his profile said that he was a Christian. A few minutes into the conversation, I got a good opportunity to ask him if he had ever accepted Jesus as his Savior (it was obvious at that point that he was at least back-slidden, if he was even a believer at all). "No, I haven't" he told me. "That's why I'm here; to learn more". I happily shared the Gospel with him and at the end, he seemed quite appreciative (he even said "amen" when I was done typing). Hopefully he accepts Jesus' death on the cross as his ticket to heaven one day.... :). Funny, as I was typing that, I started thinking....perhaps he even DID accept Jesus then....he may have simply agreed with what I wrote, and decided right then and there that it was true, and that that's why he said "amen" at the end.....funny, I'd previously taken it as him simply agreeing that I was saying something that sounded good, but who knows.....:).

God bless you too, Mickey :).

Both my parents are believers and the churches we have gone to have presented the gospel. I knew the gospel, and I knew what HE had done for me. Honestly though, I didn't care. I remember talking to my youth pastor when I graduated high school and he asked me where I stood with God. I told him that I hadn't really given it that much thought because it wasn't important to me. I didn't care about God until just recently.

I wouldn't call it doubt that pushed me to search on my own, it was that God wasn't real to me. I had been TOLD my whole life about God, so I had the head knowledge but that's as far as it went. I knew about this "God" but God being real? I hadn't seen any proof so I didn't see any reason why HE was real. There was a certain event that God used to show me what I was living for, and I realized where I was headed if I didn't change things. That's where it all began. :)
I thought about this for awhile, Adekruif. First of all, PLEASE don't think that I'm saying any of this to throw stones at your parents; I'm sort of thinking out loud, and it's just to try to determine the best way to approach one's children with the Gospel.
I think part of the reason God seemed so real to me (even when I was young) was not only being specifically asked when I was little if I wanted to accept Jesus as my Savior, but also the fact that my parents made God real to me, not only by talking about Him like He's there, but also saying that we were going to do something (or not do something! :)) because He wanted/didn't want us to, often giving specifics. Their zeal helped also...not only were they intent on their faith and made it real to me, and lived it and shared the Gospel with others, but they involved me in things, and involved God in things. We'd pray together about things that came up. I recall praying that the Berlin wall would come down after my parents explained the situation to me and suggested that I pray for it to fall if I felt led. It made me feel like such a part of history when it came down....I'm getting a little bit teary-eyed even as I type; I remember watching it being joyfully torn apart on TV :). Praise Jesus! :)

I've found that a lot of people really just need someone to take a moment to listen and validate their existence, you know? We all struggle in our walk at times. They are praying and seeking direction, but need another christian to come alongside them for a time. We are called to do that for one another.
I believe this is what brought me to CC. :D I also want to know & learn how to spread His word as I grow.

Yay, Randy!.......Well, I guess it should be "Yay, God!", but you know what I mean :D. Here's some faces and symbols for ya!.....:) :D ;) :) :D ;)......:p

And, I also wanted to mention that it isn't just the chat rooms where seekers go for help, I have met some on the forums, as well. I've even had several people tell me lately that they thought that God had brought them to this site, and I'm quite certain they weren't trolling me (it takes one to know one, hehehehe ).

So, anyway, PLEASE, let's all keep our spiritual eyes open and our spiritual ears attuned for whoever God would have us talk to, Christian or non-Christian :). And, if you haven't already asked The Lord to fill you with The Holy Spirit, then I would strongly recommend you do so, as it will be a lot easier to feel His leading and hear His voice if you do, as I'm sure Jilly and Randy can attest ;).

Amen, Snackersmom! I agree with EVERYTHING you said; thanks for posting, and I hope everyone else read your post too :).

Thank you, Phia (or since you said "thank you", perhaps I should say, "you're welcome" :)). Yes, I've been shocked at not only the number of people who come here looking for God (well, looking for Jesus (God the Son) actually, but generally not realizing it :)), but also at how ready and willing they are to listen. God bless you also, Phia :).

Yes Green, that's exciting too, and comforting....knowing that we have Jesus walking beside us even when things are rough....even when we're facing death and torture in the face, He's there with us through it all. "I will never leave you, nor forsake you". So many of our brothers and sisters in Christ face this daily....that's one reason why I mentioned earlier, "you guys, this is almost too easy". It's amazing that (for awhile, anyway) we can just sit in our favorite chair at home surrounded by loved ones and bring the message of Salvation to someone who is actually asking to hear it. I'm almost scared to waste this opportunity; witnessing has so many more trials in most areas of the world. Not scared in a frightened way.....more like I'd hate to look back in 20 years and wish that I'd taken opportunities that will at that point be long gone. And who knows what the future will bring; perhaps the government will block websites like this......I pray that that won't be the case, but it IS the case in certain parts of the world, even now. Also, with what the persecuted church goes through on a daily basis, I abhor the thought of people coming to a website like this and asking how to get saved, and nobody tells them.....

I'm not trying to be doom and gloom everybody, but I do want to acknowledge that it's a VERY easy thing to do, witnessing to others through this website. I'm certainly not trying to get kudos for it.... like Jullianna said, we can be silly sometimes (which is good; we all need a break sometimes), but there are people wanting to know the truth, which most of us are fortunate enough to already have in our hearts; we just need to share it with those who need to hear it.
