And just to state .. I was a hand that beat up a head .. I was not properly connected then .. I'm now a spoke looking to attach somewhere ..."properly attach" I am sooooo ready!!!
Oh geez. Just had this image of us all living in cob houses with our Madmax outfits rubbing two sticks together so we could cook fish that Powemm caught on a cob stove. LOL
The skills thing is key. You can survive better with more skill and less supply than the other way around. Supplies run out if you don't know how to obtain them.
been a prepper for about 5 yrs now, i have a lot of chili, like 12,000 cans and thats all im gonna tell you lol.
I'm too poor to be a prepper. Even if I wasn't, I probably wouldn't. I'm not filled with fear, and I don't believe in zombies. lol
Lol yeah, I know[: I just like talking about what's actually gonna happen instead[: I find that to be more fun. But that dude in Miami,.. I'm convinced was possessed.
Sounds like you have explosives.![]()
My preparation is in The Lord God Almighty[: with that comes ppreparation for everything else lol.
Do people on this thread seriously expect to find themselves living The Walking Dead for real? That show must be like hardcore porn for preppers and survivalists!
Thanks, Oceangrl. To be fair to Zero, is it really stealing if everyone has abandoned their stuff and it's just sitting there? I mean, for example, if it is a Zombie Apocalypse, basically the owners of those things could be a zombie and therefore not really alive. So, it is something to consider. Maybe Zero means he will "borrow" these things.
If one were to mean metaphorically; the alive in Christ walking among the dead, then sure... we already are. lol
Literal dead bodies walking around? Not so sure about that.
Although I was never a Boy Scout, I'm a firm believer in their motto "Be Prepared". Would I consider myself to be a "Prepper" in the more common use? No. However I do believe in being prepared for the unexpected. I do keep a bit of extra food stored in a closet just in case. Just in case I'm short of grocery money sometime, just in case a natural disaster happens and the grocery store shelves end up empty, just in case.............
In most major natural disasters the huge need for food and water in the disaster zone is because people are just accustomed to there being food on the shelves of the grocery store. They don't realize that the stores get a truck load of food every day to restock their shelves and in the event of a natural disaster those shelves run empty quick.
It doesn't cost a lot to become minimally prepared. Just buy an extra can (a couple of dollars) of something every time you go shopping and store it outside the kitchen so that it doesn't accidentally get used. Depending on how often you go shopping, within a few months you'll have several days to a week worth of worth of food stored.
I don't believe for a minute oncefallen meant God was going to fail her. Loo, we live in a world in which there are earthquakes, famines, hurricanes, etc. That doesn't mean God has failed us. the point here is to be prepared for disasters.
