i think this is a complicated question,,,but again it is a very simple question. here is how i answered it back in the days when i was ask by my congregation...
any sin is a sin, makes no difference which one we are addressing, but according to who's religion? now let's address it from several different religions. first off from the point of Christianity(because it applies to us),,,Christ said many things about obeying a persons master, john 8;44 "you will obey your fathers desire",,different application i know, but look close at what he states. "your fathers desire",,,,
notice there is a separation between different fathers,or else masters. that is if,and again the opposite religion one follows the devil then according to Christ his desire(the devil) is that they lie, cheat steal, murder, commit fornication, adultery ect.
now you see according to the devil if he is someones master anyone who is doing any of these works is completely obeying their master. and as Paul points out(Romans 14;4) you "cannot judge another mans slave",,,that is if the devil commands his servant to commit any of these acts they are obeying their master.,,,so if they curse, they obey the will of their father, this is his commandment to them. any of these abominations are the one and only "law of their father"
now as for Christ,he states many times and also the apostles about a master and a servant,Romans 6;16,,,,,Matthew 23;11,,,Matthew 20;27,,,acts 17;11,,, col.3;22-4;1,,,,we could go on and on about who is ones master and what he said that they should obey,,,they did not obey god in the garden, and obeyed another,,,they did not obey afterward and were taken into captivity in many nations(Israel),,,,
in one religion it is proper to blow themselves up,to kill,to divorce, it just really depends on the exact mast being referred to. another may say "worship cows",,,another,"eat this",,,,but in Christianity we only are given the will of the father, that is the son said "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven",,and again "the will of the father who hath sent me",,,
now i will admit before you all,,,on my knees i have cried for doing the things i was ask not to do according to the very thing i am telling you. i have not most miserably(both when young and old),,,been such the faithful servant that i am describing to you,the flawless one i am not except in Christ. i have not committed murder, yet when i was young i preached a few sermons that may have sent many to the grave, dashing them to pieces with the tongue of the others desire. my desire was never to other men,,and i am old now and have never cheated on my wife, some would say "great job iamsoandso",,,,but,,,i have a box of secrets i held under the cross,,,and between the tears and the blood it seems too slippery for any of you to open,,,,
what soever your sin be come,,,,i can only point out there are two masters "who ever you obey he is your master",,,i cannot, for i do not posses the ability to modify my masters will/desire,i can only point it out,i cannot change it. if we don't understand why,,,do it anyway. i have not much to loose in telling you this you see,in the flesh i am dead,,,i was delivered from Egypt, and worshiped a bull,i wandered from birth till death in the desert. the water came up from the ground and i drank. i ate food given from god,the manna of angels, sometimes i gathered too much,at times to little.
there on mount Zion, just before we cross, the deliverer was raised by the hand of the father. all of mankind will wander in the desert for sin,,,and few will be rapture'd into the promised land. "you are in the dessert",i am also and about to cross over,so what can i gain telling you?,,,,there is no scripture you can quote me about any of mankind who worshiped the serpent bowing down on his knees and begging forgiveness for "stumbling and following Christ".,,,yet every scripture in Christianity is about being forgiven for obeying the serpent,,,and the deliverance from it at the cross.
one seeks to have you obtain flesh to be burned, requiring you to obey him as master,,,,,and Christ to have you cast it off. now adultery, lust for the flesh, gather it into the barn,so it may be burned. homosexuality, lust of the flesh, gather it into the barn,so it may be burned.,,,Coventry, lust for the things as to the flesh, gather then to the barn that they may be burned.,,,your spirit says to your eye "look",,,and to your hand "get it",,,,and it is gathering and pile and stacking it to an tee-pee to be burned.
here you are this is you,,,,,,,,you are a spirit,,,,,,,,
