Back to my usual sunny self...yay! Who's got time to be all sad-faced anyway? Pssh.

I ordered some solar lights off of Amazon last week. Eight in the pack, to put next to walkways. I put four on the left side of the steps, and four on the right. They looked pretty darn nice out there, and I was excited to see them light up that night.

They didn't light up. I was bummed. Because, I mean, lights AND rocks AND flowers all living together?! SWEET! But alas, they did not work. So I just left them there...

Then I talked to someone else who had the same problem with some lights they'd bought. They said they'd had to put batteries in, or something silly like that. So, I went and opened up one of my lights to check if there was a battery...there was.

Whilst inside of this light, I noticed a sneaky little switch. ON/OFF.

Lights work a little better now, since I turned them all on. Amazing.

...waiting for someone to do a three paragraph post with a bunch of verses slapped therein about how we can have good bulbs, but we still gotta be "switched on" for Jesus...

heck, if I had the time, I'd even do it...

Since I'm not very good at starting forums, I'm debating with myself if I should start a fun-sounding forum. It'd be called, "When I see ____'s username, I think of..." (like sometimes, when I see CatHerder's name I'll sometimes get the mental image of someone trying to round up cats....with very little success.)

Do you think that'd be a forum people would be interested in participating in?

The smell of burning wood is in the air. The sky is clear and the wind blows. It feels like one of those days where it's summer again. But that chill within the shadows still remain. There are days on the rez where fall feels whole lot like winter in the morning and the temperature will rise at noon.

I hate this crazy weather pattern. Being able to adapt to it the frustrating part. Especially working far from home. Last night felt a little warmer then usual. Two days ago, it felt like winter. The air was cool and crisp. The smell of smoke from a wood stove hinted at that. But today, the sun is out and I'm forced to turn on the air conditioner.

It's almost time to head back into town and watch over the children. Not sure why I'm a little irritable today. But I have to hold my peace, and continue to tread forward. I can handle this. I can handle this. I can handle this. I can handle this. I'm just smaller then the others, not weak. I'm just smaller, not weak. But what I lack, seems to be their strength, and vice-versa. I might as well try to do the best I can with whatever little I have.

she's actually doing really really well!!! Halfway there. Lunch break in a seriously Podunk town. But we're in Texas soooo....there are many of those. Lol

Yesterday, I got to go back to my old high school's band and sit in on a class! So much nostalgia.. they even play the exact same warm-ups and everything. The kids sounded really great, but as I looked at them, all I could think was "wow. Was that really us just a few years ago?"

Also, I really appreciated how the instructor introduced my friend and I:

"Class, we have two special visitors from the university today. One of them used to play flute in this very band MANY MAAAANY MAAAAAAAAAAANY years ago. The other one.. well, she's a vocalist and string player but I told her she could be here anyway"

Sometimes I worry that I am a little condescending at work towards my co-workers. There is a few issues that have arisen that I thought would be evident not to do, but sometimes I wonder about people. I think in a very logical, analytical way at work. I think I just expected that others would do so I am surprised and irritated when people aren't using their brains. This makes me think that I must come off as a B-----. So either I have to communicate reminders to people and come off as condesending, or take a step back and let them learn on their own through mistakes, then get frustrated when people aren't using common sense. I feel like a parent. Can't keep doing things for people who need to learn to do things on their own.

I'm thinking that maybe when I get out of college and have my bachelor's in music ed and become a teacher, I could do after school piano or guitar lessons to get some extra money on the side.

There are no vets or any medical professional in the animal field where I'm from. Either the animal dies, or survives.

I have four cats. The eldest, and the one I dub "My old friend" is Dahlia. She is about 7-8 years of age. Pets here, don't have certificates. Their birth date is not usually recorded. She has been one of our oldest cats and has been through a great deal and lived through all her experiences. *thinks about it* She had between 3-4 or 5 litter thus far.

And when she does have kittens, most of them tend to go and find homes. I could walk around this small town and recognize a Dahlia baby wandering around. But when it comes to the chosen and the left overs, we do our best to take care of them. From the recent batch of kittens, we fell in love with a runt who may be a living congenital birth defect.

His name is Animoot. (Uh-Nee-Moot) Or Dog in my native tongue. (It's kind of an awkward story of how he got his name.) He had to be fed store bought milk by a syringe because he couldn't fight- or rather push for his food. The baby took well to it, and was the first "to go." We noticed he was always quiet and not as loud as the others.

He wasn't as big as the others, but he grew along with them. When he had opened his eyes, we thought he was blind due to the fact that he stared up most of the time and how his eyes were positioned.

As he got older, it showed how he was different from the rest of his kin. He was a lot smaller, and weaker then them. (Plus extra furry) But it didn't stop him from trying and adapting to his surroundings. He could not jump or climb out of the box as the others did. But it didn't deter him from trying once or twice. But as all special babies need some little extra care and attention, we cut a section of the the box lower so that he can do what the others did flawlessly. He ran and chased his sisters and brothers. But it just showed how much more slower is was compared to them. Oddly enough his long fur created the illusion of size, which disguised his tiny and frail body. When he sat next to visitors, people admired this cute little guy and wanted to claim him. But, he already had a small place in our lives and our hearts.

Poor ole Krispy Kreme took it in the shorts for their earnings report, they bled 'red' . I've only ate those doughnuts once or twice. Meh, they were pretty good but I like fresh French krull donuts just as much . Any kind of lemon jelly doughnut too works for me ove a Krispy Kreme glaZed donut. We are talking 'glazed donut,' ya know :D

When I am condescending to others, I am thankful that God has me realizing that's something of a trait that He wants to personalize on my thinking cap to get to know Him more, asking Him how I can be able to speak in 'Love' more, just like He did on Earth, even though He, Jesus here we're speaking of as 'He,' but, of course :) , was tough on the Pharasees and others who tried to catch Him in lies. He was very truthful with them, like the rich young ruler who wanted to know what He had to do to get into heaven. Jesus said what He knew the man did not want to hear. "Sell all your possessions and take up your cross and follow Me.'
PEople, who are not Christian might see this as condescending, but it's just about following Jesus in our life, and, He leads from within us, and, we are to follow Him, as He leads us.

LOL, for me it's not 'a few years ago' as HisLoveneverfail, it's few decades since High School. OK, I'm doing the math right now, technically, the word 'few' is more than two. So, my third decade out of high school is waaaaaaaay away still, 2016 :D


Awww, S4Truth, what little blesssings there. I had a cat ,who started out kitten from 4th grade until my freshman year in college, he was the greatest cat, like, if I stared at him as I crouched down to half my size, he would ram my forehead, lifting himself off all fours in the process. Snuggler too, he would sleep at the top of my head , on my pillow, a lot of nights or just right by me. :)

My 3 year old daughter is playing on a McDonald's playground for the first time ever. 3 years was a good run, I feel. ;P

Man, I wish my palms would stop sweating. I have so much anxiety anything I do my palms sweat profusely (my mouse is currently soaked in sweat). I need to find rest.
