Eternal rest is not a SABBATH DAY.

christ defended the Sabbath. If He intended for it to be replaced by His Sabbath Rest, he had a half dozen opportunities to say so.

Man must feel really proud, big, and GODLY to rewrite the GOD of Creation's covenant and edit the parts they are too lazy to keep out of it.
Preach!!!!

Christ defended the coming kingdom of David. If he intended for it to come in its fullness nearly two millennia later, he had a half dozen opportunities to say so.

Yeshua is David. David may be completelty translated as Beloved, and He is the Beloved. The prophesies of the Throne of David are in reference to the throne of the Beloved. It is ignoring the meaning of so many of the words in the Word that are only transliterated and not translated that perpetrates misunderstanding of our faith, the faith of Abraham. Yeshua, Jesus, is the Beloved.

This post is not saying you do not already know this, it is to point the way to understanding this to others who may not.

You should not engage in the Mosaic laws at all or any other thing which can cause you to be severed from Christ. If you want to "be reminded of the characteristics of God" then read your bible, but never, ever obey the old laws which Christ has fulfilled.
What do you term as old laws?

Laodicea, I am glad you read this. It is a frightening declaration, almost as another who referred to the Law as the "Jewish Laws." I am drawn to believe this stems from the pulling away process from the faith of Abraham. Are people actually adverse to sharing the faith of Abraham with Jews? The only teaching and learning the first churches had was the Torah. This smacks of Jew hating.

Once and for all, the Law is good and worthy of extensive study by any who believe. It is filled with wisdom and goodness from our Father. Those who insist on confusing the curse of the law being crucified with our Savior with the law being obsolete are very sadly lacking in grace, for they still fear the law.

Never ever?

leviticus 19:15-17, "Do not pervert judgment: You shall not show partiality to the poor, nor honor to the person of the great. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor fairly. You shall not go about tale-bearing or slandering among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor's life. I am Yahweh. You shall not hate your neighbor in your heart. Rebuke your brother or your sister frankly, so you will not share in his or her guilt."

You might not want to say things you know nothing about.

Ephesians 2:15-16, "Abolishing the enmity to the Law, the Commandments, and the Ordinances, through His own flesh, in order to create in Himself one new man from the two; making peace, That would reconcile both in one body to Yahweh through the sacrifice--having killed the enmity through Himself."

Seems this hasnt been abolished in some.

Yes it is the laws of ordinances like the sanctuary sevices and sacrifices which were abolished. No need to sacrifice a Lamb now because Christ is the Lamb. No need to keep passover because Christ is our passover. But the 10 commandments were not abolished the are eternal.
Psalms 119:142 KJV
(142) Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Psalms 119:172 KJV
(172) My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Exactly, but no matter how many times you share this important teaching from the Master or I do, many simply will not hear, and this is very sad.

It brings to mind what we are taught about those who said they see when they were actually quite blind. This is very sad. My prayers are for them to understand what you and Hizikyah have been attempting to get through to so many.

Yahweh bless you both for your patience and perseverance, amen.

No need for the 10 commandments (except for educational purposes) because we have been given the righteousness of GOD in Christ.

Yahshua says different:

Mattithyah 19:17-21, "But He said to him: Why do you question Me about righteousness? There is only One Who is the standard of perfection, and that is Yahweh; so if you would enter into life, keep the Laws of Yahweh. He then asked Yahshua; Which ones? Yahshua said: You shall not bmurder. You shall not ccommit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false testimony. Honor your father and mother, and; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The young man said to Him; All these things I have kept from my youth up; what do I yet lack? Yahshua said to him: If you want to come to the perfection of Yahweh, go and gsell of what you have, and give for the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and you will be walking in Yahweh's ways, and following Me."

Revelation 14:12

I agree that righteousness comes by faith in Christ. The Bible teaches that Abraham was made righteous by faith without works
Romans 4:9-10 KJV
(9) Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
(10) How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

Even though he was made righteous by faith he still kept God's commandments.
Genesis 26:5 KJV
(5) Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

The sabbath is about spending a whole day with God that He blessed and set apart. Sounds like a good day.
Isaiah 58:13-14 KJV
(13) If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
(14) Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

MYSTERY OF INIQUITY

Yeremyah 7:9-11, "Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, vow falsely, burn incense to Baal follow hinder gods you know nothing of, And then come and stand before Me in this House upon which My Name is called, and say; We are saved! Saved to do all these abominations? Has this House, which is called with My Name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen this! says Yahweh."

Mattithyah 15:7-9, "Hypocrites! Well did Isayah prophesy of you, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

Mattithyah 7:23, "But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

Iniquity is Word #458 from word #459, Greek Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning not subject to (Yahweh's) Laws, transgressor.

Hebrews 10:26,27,29, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the tblood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and uwho has insulted the Spirit of mercy?"

Dedicate the ENTIRE 24 hrs to YAHWEH ONLY. It is a beautiful thing!

Isayah 58:13-14, "If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of Yahweh honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in aidle conversation: Then you will find your joy in Yahweh; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father- -for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it."

The Sabbath was made for doing righteousness only, a day to center yourself and train yourself in the Spirit of Yahweh and not the spirit of the world.

Mattithyah 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the
Sabbath."

Isayah 56:1-7, "This is what Yahweh says: Keep the judgments, and do justly; for My salvation is near, soon, to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them; and keeps his hand from doing dany evil. Do not let the son of the Gentile, who has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying; Yahweh has utterly separated me from His people. Nor let the eunuch say; Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what Yahweh says: To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose those things which eplease Me, and hold fast to My covenant: I will give to them, in My House, even within My walls, a place and a Name equal to that of sons and of daughters; I will give them the Name of The Everlasting: YAHWEH; which will not be cut off. Also the sons of the Gentile who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants--everyone who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them and who holds fast to My covenant--I will bring them to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My House of prayer..."
