Harlot may be describing false religious systems but America could very well be a mother of a false religious system, if I walked 3 blocks knocking on every door and asked if they were Christians I would probably get a yes from most but how many hypocrites would I find, I have even heard that Jesus died for our sins so as long as we believe in that alone we are saved. I have been one of those hypocrites but I really only saw how big of one I was once I opened my bible and started reading.

I can not make any perdictions about any pope or world ruler, the safest thing is to wait it out and as it progress we will know when the end is here. It looks very close. the gro-political and spiritual religious elements are falling to gether for the end time picture to be realality soon. I am looking for a ten nation federation of muslim nations and russia to get to gether and the Man of sin coming out of the South, Egypt, maybe. I think he will be a muslim cleric ,messiah, the Anti Christ ,peace maker. Israel will accept any one. There is a Mid Mediterranean pack now, of like 10 nations. The king of the south will overthrown 3 others and be the leader, the "man of Sin". He would have the military of egypt behind him. Love to all.
America is not the mother. They were not around in the beginning. Babylon began way back in Genesis. It was Rome that embraced the paganism and then merged it with Christianity, giving birth to the RCC. The RCC is Babylonian, the mother whore... it's Satan's counterfeit of the true church. Will a person worship the creation or the creator?
I used to wonder if America was the Beast, but there's a chance that the US could be one of the many daughters, just as the denominations that are daughters of Rome.
If you look at NY and DC.. they've embraced the paganism, with their Luciferian statue of liberty, the obelisk, etc, etc.
If this is the case then maybe parts of the US will suffer the same plagues and be destroyed like the mother and many daughters?
God does use evil people to fulfill His purpose. God will have the antichrist turn on them and destroy them - the mother church and her denomination daughters, and that ecumenical system. This one religion will not last long. God is warning them to come out... He knows what awaits them. If they do not listen then they will suffer the same plagues as the mother, they will be destroyed.
The mother and the beast represent Church and State/political. The beast is scarlet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but scarlet represents Communism/Fascism. Communism wipes out religion, just like the beast will wipe out the mother and daughters. I always wondered if communism/fascism was coming!!!!!

I grew up believing this, because this is what I was taught, and I blindly followed people because i trusted them.
it was not until I started studying on my own i grew to find this is not true. there are MANY reasons. not just one.
i will give you an example. The world loves Babylon, when they are destroyed, they will mourn.
now think about it. The world does not love us, they hate us. if america is destroyed. the world will have a big party, not mourn.
Since Babylon is a system, we should not say that certain nations are it. Members of many governments are members of it, but not the government itself. People in key positions of their governments are changing laws to prepare the way for the NWO. People in key religious positions are doing the same. The stage is being set.

We have had the opportunity to study the bible without persecution, we know the things that are to come, "Christianity is the most popular religion in the United States, with around 73% of polled Americans identifying themselves as Christian in 2012", pulling the wool over our eyes would be difficult if you were wanting to put a one world religious system into full effect
