Its still a sin.
A believe that most sin is a shortcut to what was intended for Good. But so often what is Good is seen as hard or unachievable.
I mean, why would an ugly fat guy with no charm and no chance risk repeated rejection when for a few dollars he can sit with a beautiful woman who will shower him with attention sit with him and laugh at his jokes. People crave intimacy and we have societal rules that say it must be earned and won with trust.
Some people simply grow tired of being left out.
Church should provide some sense of community and belonging but, its not the same as the feeling of belonging that exists in a relationship. And Relationships simply aren't for everyone.
