But don't forget she is NOT from a Western culture. She is from Malaysia. Culture can also play a part in the way people come across. What is seen in one culture as rude is NOT so in the culture they live in.

Good point. I guess I've been considered blunt by some Americans (here and elsewhere) but by Australian standards I'd be considered reasonably polite.

Definitely, we should all acknowledge and allow for some differences.

Maybe this fits, but I like What Paul said here :

Acts 17 :

21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

33 So Paul departed from among them.

34 Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

1 John 4:4

King James Version (KJV)

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world

Good point. I guess I've been considered blunt by some Americans (here and elsewhere) but by Australian standards I'd be considered reasonably polite.

It's just we don't often take into account. (Go to different places in the US and you will find the same thing within the same country) Most of us do it,we often take offence when no offence is actually meant. I've done it too. :p

Tintin you do come as being polite. I haven't seen anything in your posts that to me would be rude.
:)

Again the young lady is correct. We were all at one time children of the devil.

There are ones that had branched from the devil, and there are ones that are lost or confuse. The confuse ones, remorse when they do wrong because something inside of them (Holy Spirit) make them feel guilty, but the ones of the devil, doesn't have any remorse.

John 10:12
The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

Jonah 4:11
And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”

Matthew 15:24
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

Luke 15:24
For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

John 10:16
I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

Psalm 97:10
Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Proverbs 15:9
The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness.

Psalm 11:5
The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion.

Psalm 25:3
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

Psalm 35:19
Do not let those gloat over me who are my enemies without cause; do not let those who hate me without reason maliciously wink the eye.

Proverbs 6:13
who winks maliciously with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers,

I am liberated, and free of bondage. But not because of myself. Only because of Christ. I still sin, in the flesh. That's something I have to say over and over again or not condemnation will fill my heart. But you know what Christ did, that we could never do? He fulfilled the Law for us. Love God with all your heart, soul and mind? We can't do that. We still show love for the world. And that's something we can't deny. But when we couldn't love God with all our heart, soul and mind, Christ did. Because we can't brag about our love for God. We can however brag about His love for us.

God bless.

Amen to that all credit to God.
So Sister in and through belief in God through Son Christ are we as Paul, or becoming as Paul became:
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

That verse you quoted. Notice that it says soweth in. Not has. Because you still have your flesh with you. And you can either sow in your flesh, or sow in your spirit. I am dead to sin. I believe that. But if I say I do not sin anymore, I make God a liar. Now, I wouldn't want to that, would I? What's the use of repentance? What's the use of it all if you say you sin no more. Yes, we're dead to sin, and alive in Christ, but that in the spirit. Not in the flesh. Can you honestly walk upright in your flesh? No. Why? Because the flesh doesn't need God. It's the spirit that needs His help and guidance.

Therefore reckon (Believe by Christ 's death) you are dead to flesh. If you die daily to self flesh and are alive daily to god and you do this daily trusting God to be alive in and through, being so busy with thanking and praising God, where is any time left for any sin?
Sending out the praise and worship band, to continuously praise and worship God in the Spirit of God, this is yours, mine and everyone's calling to stop working in the energy of our own flesh, trusting God in the Spirit, and thus praising so much all the time is taken up daily and no time left for even thinking about sin. Praying you get it
The deeper one dies daily to self each and every day, the deeper the resurrected Christ is seen and worshipped in the Spirit not flesh.
for God can only be:

  1. John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:22-24 (in Context) John 4 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  2. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-25 (in Context) John 4 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  3. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:16-18 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  4. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:12-14 (in Context) John 16 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  5. Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Yes. We're dead to our flesh. But are you a zombie? No. You still carry your flesh with you. Acknowledging the fact that your flesh still sins, but your spirit is made alive is what God wants. Peter followed Jesus and knew who He was, and yet He could claim that he didn't. Peter knew Jesus so well, yet He sinned. A great apostle like that claims to have sinned, but you don't?

I am dead yet I move and have my being held alive by God through and in the Spirit of God
Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Why do you insist on keeping your flesh alive? Yet you agree it is dead, then you say it is not, so you still sin. If it is dead, how can you sin? if it is not you are still in your sin, so which is it dead or not by Christ?

I actually would not like the attention. It just causes more arguments to unfold. But, everything happens for a reason. So, I'll leave it be. I'll just surrender it to the Lord.

God bless.

We can't change what is, (Past), we can forget what is behind us and move forward towards the mark, taking one day at a time, learning from our and others mistakes, giving them to God, thanking God we are and all others are forgiven by Son at the cross.
We thus can not ever predict future and is why God said to live one day at a time, daily, trusting god to be out in front taking care of our future. So I can't change past, I can thank God that all my past is forgiven, I can learn from god today what to do today, and trust God to take care of my tomorrow that is not here yet.
So maybe it is best that I live in the present, maybe then we might seen the present of live in God through the resurrected Christ in the Spirit maybe?

It's all in how you look at it. :)

Belief is powerful very. So is what one believes to be, and if not god the creator Christ's Father, then one is stagnate and can't be, living a life of fear is no life at all
John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me
1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

No. We are at war with the dark principalities and powers, not each other. Your attitude is one of confrontation, not one that encourages people to discuss. I think you need to sit back and think a bit more HOW you write your posts. You've said some good stuff but it wouldn't hurt to treat people hear with a little more love. You don't know everything. Neither do I. Passion for God is great but direct it in a healthy manner towards His people. Thank you.

Tintin, maybe we need to learn this scripture as it is to us also is it not, what are we to depend on?
[h=3]Matthew 10:16-20[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

I wonder should we learn this? and how can we unless we trust God in this only?

O please come off your religious words and speak from yourself. You shouldn't need reminders anyway.

Wow!!!!!! and were are you coming from with these accusations, I know of one that does this all the time accuses right at the throne of God the spirits of error in high places, and Jesus is seated at rest there with his hand up stopping the evil forces from me and others that believe God from entering the throne of grace.
Thanks though already healed by Christ's stripes
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

My need is constant just as constant as Christ is the intercessor
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Without God, no one is able to be saved period, and after belief we are taught by God personally how deep this love is that he has for us that no flesh can perform it, and is why we are to be dead to flesh sin, and alive to God in the Spirit. So simple it is hard, for flesh wants to be in charge, and no flesh in God's sight ever pleases God, except Christ Jesus's flesh, and Christ Jesus was born perfect from the Virgin Mary, and no other flesh can ever be perfect, therefor it is through the cross of Christ first death to self daily and alive to God in the Spirit daily, we by God are one with God by and through Faith that does not quit. Does not deny God, can't, not possible fro the one's God has given new life to.

.
When one is on the path, there is no temptation we cannot see.. we don't have to be reminded of who we were, but, know who we are now..
God erases the past.

That is great that it is erased, fabulous, so now what do we do with it?
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

So do we take it for granted? Are we to work hard at what? I mean it is done isn't it we are forgiven 100% right? So do we work hard at not sinning?
Or do we seek to learn from God how to trust God in this finished work of Christ, and thus through praising and worshipping. we got no time for sin, thus it is not us that stopped sinning it is God through us, our being too busy praising and worshipping in Spirit and truth
Go figure, what has God already done? Why am I then busy trying to stop sin, is that not what keeps one in sin?
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting

Unfortunately, John the Baptist was of the tribe of Judah and not a Aaron's line. Aaron and Moses were of the line of Levite.
Scripture please as to which tribe John the Baptist was from, I do not wish to assume as to which tribe John was from. I know Christ was from the tribe of Judah, which is not of the Levites at all.

John the baptist was a Levite because his parents were Levites.

It happened that in the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a certain priest, Zechariah by name, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Luke 1:5

Thanks ? answered

If a person wants to LEARN, the best way is to ASK questions not give understanding. IT is so much easier and more efficient, to ASK.

Like I shall demonstrate....

Is the flesh that sins, stronger than the salvation of Spirit of God that can make the flesh obey God ALL THE TIME?

Like the SEED of God that comes into the flesh with BORN OF GOD.... I ask this... Is this verse true or not?

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Does any person who is born of God EVER sin?

I gave not one opinion or my understanding, I ask... is this true, or do we need to modify the verse before it comes true?

I see that verse as truth and only by god can this be done, yet if I get arrogant and say that I shall never sin again because I got God. That would be me predicting future and I know I can't. so I died and die daily to the death of self at the cross of Christ, daily, so now by this what are the chances in not sinning better than trying not to, I know, been there, and see the difference in trusting over trying not to sin.
Just live in the present and see the present from God new life by the resurrected Christ in the Spirit of Crist given to us from God the Father to live by daily. TOO SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True sis, and I will gladly except resposibility for it, as an elder in the Church should. It is only very confusing and misleading if there is no order. And proper Bible teachng is done as Jesus did it...

The disciples did not give their idea of what they thought was the Gospel, they asked the teacher. In private Jesus had some moments with Peter that was rebuked with hard words, but in public, it all went very...Teacher, teach, and disciple ASK. That is why I suggest if Elizabeth need answers to questions, she should just ask...

Imaginr a new Christian believes her understanding... Like ...We will always sin in the flesh.... that is the most succesful lie Satan has EVER produced. How many people believe all flesh sin, and flesh CANNOT stop sinning... Why do they, of which Elizabeth is one, believe this, and yet is is not in the Bible? Actually the opposite is taght in the Bible. I think understandings, we should mention as "understanding" not Gospel.

My BIGGEST struggle is to get rid of the LIE people believe. They CANNOT house the truth of BE PERFECT, when they believe the LIE... we sahll always sin... Then they twit and turn ALL scripture to fit their doctrine of LIES! Elizabeth is 15, and already the Lies is suffucating her HOLY DESTINY... She should converse with me in e-mail, and I will give her ALL of me and God's Word, as a GOOD SHEPARD should. I have invited her before, but she refused.

And here she is back again, with a false doctrine. I would LOVE to protect her from the false teachers. I would spend hours and days and as long as it takes, to show her the Truth. I will show and God will reveal. And she will be made free in TRUTH!

I will ONLY use God's Word and God can write it on her heart, and we will see another beautiful young lady in Chrsit. With all Truth and the Sound Doctrine of perfection in her.... Made free from all evil and lies and false teachings... WOW, Loveme1 is this not just GREAT? Praise God....

Cobus all sin is and has been through Christ condemned at the cross to:
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Either one lives by the spirit of God that controls the Old flesh, if one agrees to God to ask for this knowing there is no good in the flesh that they were born with, and need new life in the /Spirit of God, thus one exchanges their old life of flesh to new life here and now today in the Spirit of God where no sin can ever occur
Thanks

Tell me this, we say the flesh can never sin again. But that's the lie of the Devil. The fact that we will always sin in the flesh, is the truth. You can't possibly not sin in the flesh anymore. How many of you can? Because I know I can't. But thank the Lord that He doesn't judge me in my flesh. God looks at my heart. It's my spirit that God looks at, not my flesh. For my sins, He remembers no more. And that's the point of Jesus coming. To tell us that in the flesh, we'll always sin. But, in the spirit, we can have a new life. The flesh doesn't matter. From dust we come, to dust we go. But the spirit remains forever.

And because of the fact that no one can stop sin of or in the flesh, since all sin has been:
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

We are to reckon ourselves dead to this sinful flesh by the death of Christ, raised back to life in the Spirit of truth, The Holy Ghost seal, our inner man of the heart where one follows the love of God perfectly, doing all as god is the one now in the lead, I, you and all that believe are crucified in the flesh as Paul said it well
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Great post but be careful not to take it too far. Some people believe everything physical is evil (they're called Gnostics) but that's simply not biblical. After all, we'll be given new bodies when Jesus Christ returns a second time. Bodies that will never grow old and die.

Yes Tintin correct about Gnostics, and they went to this point and said therefore Christ could not have come in the flesh, since all flesh is evil.
And this is why John wrote 1 John and when read it from verse 1 on, then one might see what John was trying to tell us and is misused as to get one's sins forgiven over and over, when it is about confessing, not getting forgiveness, about receiving the forgiveness provided though Christ at the cross of. Just read on into chapter 2 there is no scripture after the death of Christ on the cross, where we are told plainly to ask for more forgiveness after receiving the forgiveness given from God through Christ at the cross.
No forgiveness was ever in place without the shedding of blood. as a matter of fact the first Chosen had to shed blood of an animal yearly in order to get their sins forgiven.
So after the last sacrifice and the last shedding of blood from through Christ is there any more forgiveness from God to be given to you if you sin again?
1John 1:9 the Christian bar of soap, that is clearly misread when we have forty or more scripture that says past tense we are forgiven. something is amiss would you say?
How can anyone move from the old life of death flesh to new life in the Spirit without the finalization of the cross that they by God are 100% forgiven? The works of flesh are rampant and deceiving many
But you decide please find anywhere in the word where it is stated to ask for any more forgiveness after the death of Christ?
The key is it has to be stated after Christ's death to be truth to get more forgiveness from God, after you have received the forgiveness from God through Christ the Son, one will see there is no more forgiveness to be executed from Father to us, Christ the Son took it all
Colossians 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Can anyone improve on the above verse is that true or not? Time to accept maybe and just move right on into the new life God the Father has for you, me and all that believe. TOO SIMPLE YES?
