The dangers of feminism is that it will cause all my ex-girlfriends to rise up and unite to tell the whole world lies about me (don't trust anything they say!!!).

"And today we are going to look at what scripture has to say about our heavenly mother. Now most of us think that the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and she got pregnant but what it says OK is that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So again, we have the Holy Spirit which is the female part of God and the most high which is God the father and we see that they've come together and as a result of that a child is born and he is called the son of God."
I explained exactly what he said. She teaches that the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of WISDOM, is a WOMAN.

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

NOR did she say anything wrong here. I'm pretty sure many people believe it was just the Holy Spirit that came upon Mary and Mary got pregnant as a result of the Holy Spirit. But as Monica points out, the Power of the Most High along with the Holy Spirit was at work. All this jacking up Monica's words is purely BibleorTraditions. Whatever you want to call it, it resulted in a baby!! The Holy One! The Son of God! Marriage and family are in God's image. Male and female are in God's image (gender). Jesus is the SON of God and the Son of man.

Luke 1:35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
God the Father was there!

AmberGardner, I'll continue to repeat until you comprehend that the information she's telling you is wrong or I tire of your refusal to accept the truth, whichever comes first.

Perhaps English isn't your first language and that's why you cannot comprehend what I'm communicating to you. Maybe that's the problem. If you can understand what I'm writing, I want you to know that I earned an M.Div. with an A average and am qualified to discuss this with you.

Now rewatch the video (reposted below) and write down what she says. Here, I'll get you started. She states:

"And today we are going to look at what scripture has to say about our heavenly mother. Now most of us think that the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and she got pregnant but what it says OK is that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So again, we have the Holy Spirit which is the female part of God and the most high which is God the father and we see that they've come together and as a result of that a child is born and he is called the son of God."

She then goes on to say:

"Now that the Word of the Lord has come to you at this point, now that you know, the two spirits came together to make Jesus Christ..."

Etc... etc... etc...

Watch the whole video all the way through. This feminist is ALL screwed up and it's for exactly the reasons I've already specified in my previous posts in this thread which you can view here:

What we find in Matthew and Luke is Mary conceiving without any form of intercourse through the agency of the Holy Spirit's power as when the Spirit of God hovered over the waters in Genesis creating life.

Specifically the verse is clear that the power, δυναμις (e.g. the miracle-working power) overshadows and biologically conceives a spiritually pre-existent Son (e.g. See Doctrine of the Trinity) without sex. That Christ is the eternal Son of God is clear from both Old and New Testaments (e.g. See Christology).

As Clarke's Bible commentary states:

"There is a plain allusion to the Spirit of God brooding over the face of the waters, to render them prolific, Genesis 1:2. The rudiments of the human nature of Christ was a real creation in the womb of the virgin, by the energy of the Spirit of God.

We may plainly perceive here, that the angel does not give the appellation of Son of God to the Divine nature of Christ; but to that holy person or thing, το ἁγιον, which was to be born of the virgin by the energy of the Holy Spirit."

The Geneva Study Bible put it like this:

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother, Mary, that is, having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit [singular]."

God doesn't have sex with Himself nor need to have sex with Himself to create a fetus and then insert a pre-existent person of the Godhead, to create Adam, or Eve, or to create biological life of any kind.

She's teaching information that isn't true that does not align with what scripture actually says and, in fact, contradicts it. That is the problem.

I've spoken English this entire post :)

Luke 1:35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
It's just that simple. Two worked together, and the result was a baby.

well God did say women would constantly try to usurp the rule of men as part of the fallout from adam/eve.

women seem to get very defensive now days I notice when any talk of submission to their husband comes up, even though men have to also submit to their wives. It's a loving submission, not an overbearing one

No AmberGardner. You're wrong and she's wrong. All the elements of personhood are attributed to the Holy Spirit in Scripture: He has a mind (John 14:26; 1 Cor. 2:11), He has will (1 Cor. 12:11), and He has feeling (Eph. 4:30).

Further, personal pronouns ("He" and "His") are attributed to the Holy Spirit: "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13, emphasis added; cf. John 14:26).

"When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me" (John 15:26).

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you" (John 14:15-17).

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you" (John 16:12-15).

"When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about me" (John 15:26).

Etc... etc... etc...

Scripture please! Because as a matter of fact, the Bible says that the serpent, satan, is after the WOMAN. And that enmity was put between satan's seed and the woman's seed.

"Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent...Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus."

- Revelation 12:15

.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
Her offspring. We are born again into the family of God by the Holy Spirit. Who gives birth in the family? The mother.

Monica also teaches that wives are to submit to the authority that their husbands have over them, because that's the authority structure given by God (Ephesians 5:22). She does not teach women to usurp the authority of those who actually have it. The husband.

We'll try this again. It's painfully obvious but it's not sinking in for some reason. God the Holy Spirit has all the elements of personhood attributed to Him in Scripture: He has a mind (John 14:26; 1 Cor. 2:11), He has will (1 Cor. 12:11), and He has feeling (Eph. 4:30).

Etc... etc... etc...

The MALE gender is always used in scripture with reference to God the Holy Spirit including in the original Greek throughout the New Testament and every scholarly language translation on the face of the earth.

Speaking of usurping the authority of your husband. Deborah was married, and she LED the army of Israel, was judge, and prophet, obviously with the ok of her husband, because if it were up to other men, they wouldn't have allowed her to do it. It's the husband who has say over his wife, not any other man. You cannot serve two masters. If her husband said, "Go, lead Israel", and the men of the world said, "Sit down and shut up," and she listened to the world, she would be an adulteress. Unfaithful to her husband.

Judges 4:4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.

................. Most translations say her desire is FOR her husband, not against.

Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”
.

He told the woman, "I'll greatly increase the pain of your labor during childbirth. It will be painful for you to bear children, "since your trust is turning toward your husband, and he will dominate you." - ISV
.

He said to the woman, "I will increase your pain and your labor when you give birth to children. Yet, you will long for your husband, and he will rule you." - GWT
.

To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee. - Douay Rheims Bible
.

To the woman he said, I will greatly increase thy travail and thy pregnancy; with pain thou shalt bear children; and to thy husband shall be thy desire, and he shall rule over thee. - Darby Bible Translation

I understand here on earth there needs to be some order to this marraige thing and all. (So who cares that many great male Biblical figures had several wives who didn't abide by the "one woman rule"...had to populate the earth, right?)

I'm just so glad that in heaven we will all be indivduals and at the same time collectively Jesus' bride, but NOT have to be married to any of eachother!! whew!!!

Reminds me of when someone asked Jesus a theoretical question relating to who we would actually be married to in heaven. (I would be super, extremely depressed if i was Mormon with the married to someone for eternity thing. yikes!)

I'm grateful that one day everything will be set right. :)

If her husband said, "Go, lead Israel", and the men of the world said, "Sit down and shut up," and she listened to the world, she would be an adulteress. Unfaithful to her husband.
A woman can be disobedient, even 'unfaithful' in a sense to her husband without being an adulteress. There are non-sexual ways to be faithful and unfaithful. Someone who cheats on their taxes or at poker isn't necessarily an adulterer.
