* It's going to sound childish, but I've found that flipping through books or magazines with colorful pictures is very soothing. I also like watching travel shows of places I would love to see but for now, can only dream about.
* I go through these modes of craving new knowledge but needing to get through it in a very short time. Would you believe, I check out kids' books at the library and read through 4 or 5 in order to feel like I've accomplished something?!! The even more embarrassing part is that when it's about a subject such as science... I have to read the book twice to feel like I comprehended anything!
* I love going to a place I haven't seen before, and often it's something simple like a store I've never been to.
I also love looking at houses--I'll go for a walk and enjoy seeing the various types of architecture and decor people choose for their personal living space.
* Having jobs in which many of the motions become automatic can be an unexpected blessing--this is when I get most of my prayer time and talk to God about everything going on around me.
* I love to waste vast amounts of time on the internet. I don't watch much TV, but the internet is (borrowing from another thread) my hamartia.
* Unfortunately, my #1 favorite relaxing activity is eating... and it can only go downhill from there!!
(Because we all know that eating a plate of celery isn't exactly calming...)
Why is it that only the creamiest, fattiest, or sweetest foods seem calming?!
