True, but many try to replace spirit with water..
Water is a command, But if you rnot spirit baptised. all you do is get wet. Your still dead to God.
But you are a member of a Church n=and accepted by them and if you do not go by their creed, you could be ex-communicated, as be called a heretic (Harry tic) that bites awfully hard.
It is not about our man made traditions of and from man. Not one place of worship here on this earth is the kingdom of God, nor a 100% replica of God, more flesh, acting as Spirit than anything else.
Good will worship.
True worship is in God's Spirit the resurrected Spirit of Christ in the heavens , where God's kingdom is at. As was made plain to Peter when Peter had to put down his sword, and Christ healed that man's ear that was just cut off. Worldly of Peter yes, and worldly of us all, when we beat each other up with harmful words, as if we are the only one's with the truth.
God plain and simple just Loves us all, and with that as a premise, how can that be ignored from God to us all.
If one does believe then, God will not fail to show anyone that does believe, God accepts them. If one is faking it, all eventually comes to truth being shown. Truth can't be denied, covered up, placed away from me, you and anyone else, and God just reveals it to the simple, who have no intention of harming no one ever
Water Baptism, is clear to me in scripture that it is for repentance one wanting to serve God not self
Holy Spirit Baptism is for new life in God's Spirit supplied as a free gift by the resurrection, because with out the resurrection we would still be in our sins and pitied of all people.
[h=3]1 Corinthians 15:7-20[/h]New International Version (NIV)
[SUP]
7 [/SUP]Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, [SUP]
8 [/SUP]and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
[SUP]
9 [/SUP]For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. [SUP]
10 [/SUP]But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. [SUP]
11 [/SUP]Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.
[h=3]The Resurrection of the Dead[/h][SUP]
12 [/SUP]But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? [SUP]
13 [/SUP]If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. [SUP]
14 [/SUP]And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. [SUP]
15 [/SUP]More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. [SUP]
16 [/SUP]For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. [SUP]
17 [/SUP]And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. [SUP]
18 [/SUP]Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. [SUP]
19 [/SUP]If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
[SUP]
20 [/SUP]But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Have you fallen asleep yet today to self and doing this over and over again until this body does give out, yet co-crucifying self with Christ, to be alive to God. Has nothing to do with any effort of being good enough, GOD is GOOD period and by Christ we are in God by the resurrected Christ.
