For God so loved the (entire) world, He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life.
well to believe in him also means to follow his ways ,, you will do well to remember that..

I really would like to know what your eyes see when you read posts. My eyes saw nothing that would justify that question.
Those in the HRM are elitists who view others as sinful dimwits. I've seen it many , many times, some are better than others but most seem to wallow in such snobbery..

The Hebrew roots movement is a satanic probe to take believers focus off of the work of the cross and place it in their own works. Why because there is no power in it. The power of God is the preaching of the gospel amd not in some feudal attempt to keep OT traditions and law. Satan knows this and sadly many God loving people do not. The only way to refrain from sin is to have your faith exclusively in the work of the cross and not your own. This HBR stuff is works based just like any other false religion. Just like Islam, or Buddhist, or wicka, or Hindu, or yoga, you name it. Christianity is based on the work of the cross and our faith in it. Don't be fooled by satan's lie.

Its pretty simple. If someone has come to Christ you don't point them back to the law. Unless you expect them, as you do yourself, to keep it in their own will and strength.

You don't understand any of the scriptures you post because you place your own will and strength, legalism, into all of it.

If you believed in the Power of Christ and His Holy Spirit then you would be attempting to lead people to Him. You would constantly shift the focus of peoples endeavors from focusing on their works of the law to instead look to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Work.

You don't need Greek to understand the bible. You need the Holy Spirit.

Those who think they kept the law by their own work are the ones the Lord says "I never knew you". Those who had to come to Him for Salvation, Justification, Sanctification, and all other heavenly blessings by which we are blessed are the ones He Knows.
Ok so once a human has accepted the Messiah they are to then walk the narrow parth and not partake anylonger from the ways of the world aka the mixed tree, but only from the tree Yahweh offers.

Why is it when some one says hey I believe we should only take from Yahweh's tree they get attacked?

I find it really amazing that you know my motivation, you must be omni-present? I mean, we have never met, you have never seen me, nor what i do in life...yet you claim to know my motivation for obedience to Yahweh....Well I would be amazed, except for the fact you are wrong and I suspect your false depiction of me comes from you own rebellion against Yahweh.

So please answer this, is Shaul operating on his own strength here? And quote where I have said anything that would make me not only claim but even hint that I keep the Law by my own strength? (which would be impossible anyway....)

1 Corinthians 9:24-27, "Do you not know that those who run in a race all compete, but only one receives the prize? So run your race that you may lay hold of the prize, and make it yours. And everyone who competes conducts himself temperately in all things. Now they compete to obtain a perishable crown; but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man who beats the air. No, I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."

You said, "Those who think they kept the law by their own work are the ones the Lord says "I never knew you"

Seems to me you have made up you own meaning of iniquity and interpretation.

Mattithyah 7:23, "But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

1a) because ignorant of it
1b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Its clear, you are in opposition to Yahweh's Law

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

Choose a side...

Revelation 12:17, "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with those who forsook her seed; her seed being those who keep the Laws of Yahweh, and have the testimony of Yahshua Messiah."

Revelation 14:12, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, in conformity with the faith in Yahshua Messiah."

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood."

They were COMMANDMENTS written on tablets of STONE - expressions of His immutable, unchangeable CHARACTER and HOLINESS.

Those tablets were The Law - the 10 commandments given through Moses at Sinai - that Covenant was a conditional covenant.

that covenant was made only with one nation, Israel.

that covenant included blessing and curses - it was a CONDITIONAL COVENANT.

the blessings were conditional on Israel keeping the commandments.

Deuteronomy 28-29 clearly shows the conditional nature of the Mosaic Covenant (Old Covenant).

Jeremiah prophesied the New Covenant would eventually replace the Old Covenant BECAUSE Israel did not keep their end of the covenant.

......

Exodus 34:28
And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Deuteronomy 4:13
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

okay? do we agree that the Old Covenant, from Sinai was:

- between God and Israel only.
- it was conditional
- Israel did not keep the covenant
- God had promised a NEW covenant, which would NOT be like the Old Covenant.
- the New Covenant would supercede and abolish the Old Covenant
- the New Covenant was based on better promises
- the New Covenant would do what the Old Covenant could never do

HOW MANY COVENANTS IS GOD HONORING TODAY?
HOW MANY COVENANTS ARE IN PLACE TODAY?

Hebrews 8:6-9
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord...."
13 In that he saith, "A new covenant," he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 10:8-10
8 Above when he said, "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law";
9 Then said he, "Lo, I come to do thy will, O God." He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

......

He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

is the First (Old) Covenant existent?
is God in Covenant with anyone according to the Old Covenant?
HOW MANY COVENANTS IS GOD UPHOLDING TODAY?

Jesus took His disciples to a Mountain and gave a Sermon where He gave 10 of His own commandments.

These commandments are based on the same principles or "spirit" of the Old Covenant 10 commandments.

But, they are not identical - they are new.

you will note He did not teach Sinai sabbath.

Jesus was actually superseding the Old Covenant - not commanding them to return them to a better understanding/better way to keep the Old Covenant!

His Covenant is NEW.

Jesus said He came to fulfill The Law - to finish or conclude it - replacing The Old Covenant Laws with the New Covenant Promise, just as God had said!

it's A GOOD THING HE DID THIS!

the moral requirements are the same - God is the same, but His Covenants have changed.
why is this NOT a good thing.

The word "fulfill" means to bring to its proper conclusion. He concluded the Old Covenant by:

13 In that he saith, "A new covenant," he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

just as Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of His coming, He fulfilled the requirements of the Old Covenant...He also called down those covenant curses upon apostate Jerusalem.

Jesus fulfilled the Law over His entire ministry by walking in perfection and by becoming the sacrifice of which the Law was THE SHADOW, or prophecy about HIM.

i think ppl get confused because they don't understand that the transition between the Two Covenants took 40 years - from 30AD when john the baptist and Jesus announced the New Covenant - until the destruction of the Temple in 70AD.

Biblical Judaism can not be practiced anymore!!

that was The Lord's doing!

Hebrews 8:13 says that the Old Covenant was waxing old and it was about to vanish away.

and so came the destruction of the temple and the city and the apostates by the Romans (the prince Titus).

Jesus had decreed this destruction on the jews who had refused to accept the New Covenant.

during Jesus' ministry, the two covenants existed along side one another - in 3 1/2 years Jesus had fully inaugurated the New Covenant, and God mercifully allowed them until 70AD for the Old Covenant to fully expire (imo).

we know for certain long after the Day of Pentecost the Lord through His Apsotles was still pleading with the nation of Israel to accept the gospel....the New Covenant.

no. that Covenant is over.

His Moral law never changes - His Covenants and commandments did.
The thing that bothers me about part of your post in that the 10 Commandments were only given to Israel - what about the rest of the population on earth. It was o.k. for them to kill, steal, ignore the Creator God, lie, covet, commit adultery - the other people on earth had no direction at all? God held one group of people to a higher standard than the rest?

With that way of thinking that the rules don't apply to all then God should not have sent the flood to destroy people in Noah's day since there were no laws that needed to be followed? Really?

I am thinking that God has always had a set of rules that He expected to be obeyed - out of love for God and for fellow men and it is evident when God questioned Cain about Able's death. Those rules might not have been written in stone with Adam and Eve but they were passed along by word of mouth and I'd imagine they came from God's mouth to Adam and Eve's ears after they sinned.

So explain why I should not hear and obey what the Messiah is saying here:

Mattithyah 5:19, "Whosoever, therefore, will break one of the least of these Laws, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the Kingdom of Yahweh; but whosoever will do and teach them, the same will be called great in the Kingdom of Yahweh."

Mattithyah 19-17-21, "But He said to him: Why do you question Me about righteousness? There is only One Who is the standard of perfection, and that is Yahweh; so if you would enter into life, keep the Laws of Yahweh. He then asked Yahshua; Which ones? Yahshua said: You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false testimony. Honor your efather and mother, and; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The young man said to Him; All these things I have kept from my youth up; what do I yet lack? Yahshua said to him: If you want to come to the perfection of Yahweh, go and sell of what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and you will be walking in Yahweh's ways, and following Me."

I know you love to play that cast aside everything hebrew game, but reality is Mattithyah was his name, he was a hebrew man, with a hebrew name.

Since its meaning is gift of Yahweh and includes the beloved name of the Creator you think those that say they follow the Creator would not have a problem with it...

Oh and there is a hebrew version of Mattithyah that uses Mattithyah and Yahshua....

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Whats the difference? Scripture makes no difference, Messiah say He ONLY does the will of the Father, and that:

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Seems to me you have twisted Scripture and invented your own law....hmm didnt the Pharisees do that?

The law of sin and death....the Law of Yahweh....

Not the same thing....

I have been set free from the law of sin and death (ways of the world)

Seems others have been set free from the Laws of Yahweh....

Do you not understand that the parable about a womans husband being dead and her free from that law is about being dead to sin?

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Let no man decieve you.

1 Timothy 1:5-7
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

The end of the law is love out of a pure heart, a good conscience and real faith. We get these qualities from the Lord Jesus Christ. He grows them in our lives.

Your attempting to keep the law has nothing to do with it. Except to puff yourself up with pride.

An unmerited accusation from someone who is lower me to raise themselves.

Again, telos is goal not end.

He has a bible that inserts Jewish words into the Greek scriptures. :)
The OT was written in Hebrew except for portions of Daniel and Ezra, or 1% of the OT. The OT is 78% of the bible. Of the NT, 12% are quotations from the Hebrew OT. The OT is scripture.
