What makes you.... you..or rather what makes other people think of you? There has to be something that as soon as people see it.. they instantly think of you. For example.... when I see cupcakes I think of Pipp, when I see nature trails, I think of Monica. Usually, when people see henna tattoos... they think of me. I'm sometimes called "The girl with the henna tattoo." On numerous occasions cc friends and real friends have told me about henna parties or henna designs they have seen and it made them think of me. So what's your thing?

Shiny, glittery things- but not like, chintzy and gaudy, more like hand crafted and unique. A friend used to buy me little gifts from an art boutique all the time, and at first the card with them would say "Saw this and thought of you", but after a while, they'd say "This whole store just screams 'Cristen'!"

Coffee. No idea why...
Rubber duckies.
Fairy tale collections.
Purple things.
Giraffes.

I dunno...stuff?

The guitar! My friends think of me when they hear a good guitar solo. And food! Like, a good steak or a large buffet .. yes, I eat like a lot! :)

I am known for two things one my whistling, I cant sing a lick, but I whisle a lot. Hymns, whatever. I think of it as having the joy of the Lord and it has to come out somehow.

The other is my love of books and I dont get to read much for pleasure but I study a lot.

The things that I've heard people say reminded them of me are...

-My love for Wisconsin sports
-My piano playing (particularly the intro to one worship song lol...so random)
-My love for and terrible use of puns
-My habit of picking pennies up off of the ground

I came real close to moving to Wisconsin. Right now, I am leaning towards Hawaii.

I'm not really sure what I'm known for... probably face painting.

I DO know what reminds me of others.

When I see bad taxidermy, I think of Kenthomas.

When I see boots, I think of Gypsygirl.

When I see cupcakes, Pipp.

Stained glass makes me think of Catherder.

Star Wars makes me think of Jonathan and iTore.

Pitch Perfect makes me think of Shouryu.

Apparently horses. I always get comments like, "I saw a horse today and thought of you." Hehe :)

I can definitely see the resemblance, Arwen, short hair aside. (Unless you've recently cut your hair that short, too.)

I dunno, Emmy - it's a thought provoking question to be sure. But it's a difficult one. I'll use GLR for an example. GLR says that she thinks that face-painting makes people think of her, but that's barely the case for me. Crawdads, rolling green hills, King Charles spaniels, and brown couches with too many pillows make me think of her. CatHerder's another example: many will think of him when they see lots of cats or stained glass, but I think of him when I see a rare Jetta GLI or if someone mentions a whorehouse (long story).

What makes me...me? It depends on who you ask. To the people in my church, my voice and the 5-string electric bass that I play are what define me. To some of my students, it might have been my hair or my brony-ness that defined me. To many of the musicians in town, they only know me as "the bass clarinet specialist who teaches on the east side." To the people at the wing joint, I'm either the karaoke guy or the celibate flirt. I can try to define who I am to me, but in the end...it's always what others see that ends up defining us. I could TELL everyone that I secretly rescue puppies, that I'm working on a cure for AIDS in my spare time, that I'm on the verge of solving the famine issues in north Africa, and that these are the things that make me the quintessential Shour...but in the end, people are going to define me by their own eyes, no matter what I say.

Pasta - I had nothing but pasta for 6 months one time; never got sick of it.
Crunch tacos - I can devour 10 of them under 5 min.
Any kind of noodle.

Eating makes me who I am.
I was once offered a job from church parents to eat with their kids because they thought having me at their dinner table will increase the kids' appetite when they see me eating - apparently the kids were having hard time finishing their dishes and the parents got worried. True story.

what you guys probably know me for:

+ outdoorsy stuff (like hiking and snowboarding/skiing)
+ boots (both as a fashion love and philosophically)
+ animals
+ missing television and movie references, especially sci-fi ones (because i don't watch tv or movies often. see the "hyper" comment below)

people closer to me probably also associate me with:

random dancing, curly hair, instigating water fights, cooking for/pushing food on others (and being the slowest eater ever), being notoriously unable to tell jokes due to laughing through the punch lines, my love of domestic arts, hating the entertainment/celebworship culture, and being slightly wiggly/hyper.

Black and red colored stuff... people tell me that a lot
Fluffyness
