Tricky situation with Harry Potter

I read Harry Potter, realizing it was, ''dark,'' but finding it to be just in fun.. Until, that is, a wizard was in the tomb and was, ''resurrected.'' No way, uh uh. It is clearly from Satan and I am extremely saddened that so many follow it, as you did.

Most people don't follow Harry Potter in the way OP did. Almost everyone who has ever read Harry Potter was able to successfully identify it as not real. To suggest it's a work from Satan is ludicrous. You mentioned that there was a resurrection in the book. Harry Potter is fiction, and nobody sells it as non-fiction. Why would a book that's clearly fictional be used as a tool to encourage people that resurrection of people is real? That's like saying people who create video games such as Call of Duty want kids to go around shooting people or that Pokemon is trying to encourage kids to capture animals and force them to fight. If Satan wanted to trick people into believing resurrection of life is natural or proper, he wouldn't use a fictional book to do so.

Are you sure it was a demon (there could be another explanation)? Have you talked to anyone (beyond just us on this forum) about this encounter? Is it still bothering you?

Percepi, you're right. Not everyone follows Harry Potter the way troubledgirl did, and obviously still is. However, she got involved in satanism and tried to conjure up something that she knew was'nt real!! Magic and sorcery IS of and from Satan!! She may know NOW that Severus Snape is only a fictional character, but at the time, she tried to make him real by conjuring him up, and as a result, got attacked by demons for it. Her reluctance to give up her Harry Potter stuff tells me, and other posters on here as well, that she is still very much attached to the character of Severus Snape, and unwilling to let it go completely. Until she does, she will continue experiencing demonic issues.

I know that if I had something used in a demonic fashion to conjure up something unreal, and got attacked by demons, I sure as heck would'nt keep it around to attack me any further!! She's playing with fire and she WILL regret it!! And no, video games such as you mentioned are not designed with kids going to shoot people in mind, although it obviously COULD and sometimes does give people that exact idea..
Harry Potter may be a fictional movie, but it is based on truth. People DO practice sorcery and witchcraft, and dabble in satanism. People DO try to conjure up spirits and demons, and they do practice sacrificial rites. This girl is flirting with Satan, and he wants her soul!!

There is no such thing as "fairy-tale witchcraft." Harry Potter is a movie, a made-up movie. HOWEVER, witchcraft is very real. You are having serious trouble telling reality from fiction. You may not be idolizing Harry Potter or Snape anymore, but what you dont get is that you once DID, and as long as the demons have their energy attached to what you idolized, you WILL experience demonic issues until you get rid of it!!

By the way, if the police, or my parents, or someone smarter and more educated than me told me I needed to give something up because it was bad for me, and it was'nt honoring God, I'd hand it over right then and there!! I enjoyed the Harry Potter novels (and think they're actually rather redemptive and that the witchcraft isn't akin to real witchcraft), but if this thread is for real, I think it's time to throw away the HP books and return to God. As I stated quite plainly, if I was told something I was doing, or something I had, was bad for me because it was'nt honoring God, I would gladly give it up instead of saying "why?" or "no you cant have it, it's mine"!! Why do marketers spend millions of dollars on fictional characters telling us what to buy if we weren't susceptible to such fictional things? Hi. Since 2012, I am a Harry Potter fan. However, I am not that of a fan anymore since about 2 months ago. And now a pastor is telling me that I should get rid of Harry Potter stuff, and I don't remember if he said that God said to him that I need to get rid of the Harry Potter stuff.

In 2012, I went into the occult, but it was science that redirected me to the occult because I thought that magic is science, and that time I didn't believe that God and Jesus exist, and I was an atheist in 2011. Harry Potter didn't make me get involved in the occult and I am being honest. During the occult, I tried to make the character named Severus Snape real, but it never worked, and all what happened is that some demons took the form of Severus Snape and abused me in any ways. Severus Snape NEVER became real, and he'll never become real, and he is not real. During the occult I also tested some of the Potter spells to see if they actually work but none of them worked at all as they are fictional spells, and I also had a wizarding world "Astral plane" thing during the occult, or I was delusional about wizarding world existing and me being there. And I was in the occult before I became a Harry Potter fan, or I was a Harry Potter fan before the occult, but I swear that Harry Potter did NOT make me get involved with the occult. I got the idea of going to the occult only through science and the first purpose was to attempt to make Severus Snape real. I was like "okay, I see how magic is pretty scientific, so I will just start doing magic". In 2013 I became a Christopagan. I was becoming a Christian, but I still couldn't let the occult go. But then in 2014, I completely quit the occult, and a couple or few months ago I gave up my Severus Snape "tulpa" what I had because the tulpa was really a demon who pretended to be Severus Snape, and the wizarding world "Astral plane" was only a deception or just my delusion. During the occult I experienced a lot of demonic problems and attacks.

I don't want to get rid of my Harry Potter stuff because I want to keep them as memories because about 70% of the Harry Potter stuff were just normal Potterheadness, and during my Potterhead times I was very much in love with Severus Snape, so I want to keep all the Severus Snape stuff as my memories...

Do I really have to get rid of my Harry Potter stuff? Does God tell you that I need to throw away my Harry Potter stuff?

I threw away and I am still throwing away occult things and things related to the occult, and I am not experiencing so much demonic problems anymore, so I am guessing that Harry Potter is not really the problem.

I am a Christian and I love Harry Potter, you know why? It's entertainment, it's fun, fantasy, it takes me away from my own problems for a while, that's all it is, entertainment. After you watch or read Harry Potter do you try to turn people in to toads or walk in a rail road station and try walking through the wall to Hogwarts? I doubt it.

I realize that most people can participate in fantasy and not suffer ill consequences from it. But this case does not involve most people, it involves a specific individual who engaged in this fantasy role play for the specific purpose of engaging demonic involvement. She asked for the guidance of 'expert Christians', and has received responses from 2 of us who have had intricate and extraordinary dealings with demonic entities. But, she seems more willing to forgo that and listen instead to those who would tickle her ears by downplaying such things and give her an excuse to hang on to these things. In her case, this is definitely wrong. She needs to divest herself from these things, just as a recovering alcoholic needs to empty the house of all liquor. Most people would be fine with beer in the fridge. That does not apply to those for whom beer has been a past weakness and issue. That house, you would clean out completely. This is the same thing. She has allowed demonic ties to be established with her Potter fantasy, and as such IT MUST GO or it will come back to haunt her at a later date.

Sorry, I was too busy running over your family in a stolen car after I beat up a hooker and blew up a cop car with a rocket launcher. Too much Grand Theft Auto.

Here's the extent in which video games influenced my decision making. I played a thief in Skyrim where you can run around picking locks. I actually looked up online how to pick locks because the actual mechanism behind lock picking seemed quite fascinating. I bought a few locks and some lock picks to practice on, but that's really it. I never picked other people's locks nor have I attempted to steal anything, or cast spells, or murder anyone. Games can be an influence, but only if you're already prone to certain behaviors.

If a person is influenced by a video game to kill, then it means they already had such tendencies to begin with.

So what about advertising? Advertising appeals to those who are prone to what they're advertising. Adverts for alcohol do nothing to me because I don't drink. It appeals to teenagers because advertisers make drinking look fun, and it's already socially acceptable to drink.

Harry Potter wasn't designed to get people into witchcraft, it just so happens that there are some people who are quite gullible, want to believe in witchcraft, then seek it. These people then find others who claim witchcraft is real, then they look into everything these people say and begin to believe their words. And if you think this is from Satan, then read on...

Harry Potter can also inspire feelings of heroism and (self)sacrifice. It can leave one lying in bed daydreaming of ways in which they too can help others. It can encourage people to write stories of their own in which they can spread entertainment to others.

You see the world in black and white, as good and bad, where everything is intentional. If something that doesn't normally cause harm does happen to cause harm to someone at one point in time, you assume it was designed for that purpose! It's like saying "Cars cause accidents. Therefore, they were designed to kill people!" If this sounds completely asinine, this is the logic you're employing on media!

who exactly can prove that violent video games and the like weren't created precisely to increase the potential and likelihood that those already susceptible to immoral activities wouldn't commit or be influenced to become involved in them ?

even if they weren't created for that purpose, what good do they serve if they hold the potential for encouraging that kind of negative outcome in anyone or any circumstance ?


as far as the argument that a work of fiction isn't being used to worship a more influential spiritual power other than God, what about the fact that a core foundation of satanism is the worship of and pride in oneself and one's own ability to manipulate multiple and various outcomes? these outcomes including the the use and control of an individual's will in the persuasion and control over other being's wills and also the manipulation of matter in both the physical and spiritual realms.

we are to follow God's will as much as we are capable, not spend time lending our conscious, subconscious, spirit and imagination to ' pretend ' kingdoms where one conjures up their own powers to affect outcomes in ' make believe ' physical and spiritual realms.

the practice of or attention placed on any type of magic, real or ' fantasy, ' should be monitored extremely closely. this is not a laughing matter for those who have had firsthand experiences in both the physical and spiritual with magic and the occult.

when you have come to the know the power of imagination and it's connection to the spiritual realm, you then can see and realize the danger.

none of this will make sense to the innocents who don't know much about the dark side of certain spiritual realms ( which are very real ), but it certainly doesn't come as a shock to those entities who use these ' make-believe stories ' and scenarios in different forms of media to influence us... those fully aware and awake to the implications and those completely blind to them.
