I'm a nurse. :). Depends on the patients. I tend to hug females and fist bump males. And in hard times I hold their hands.

A doctor that fist bumps? That's be awesome xP
Hmmm!

I could dare to wear a wig and lips sticks... :p

They don't like that term sold... It's more like a dowry. Depends how traditional the families are. In my case, it'll depend because my dad is more traditional and my mom more modern. I think if I find a nice christian guy that they approve of more than likely it'll just be a christian marriage with no payments required. :)

Hi, Mss Xiong!

Remember me (with a poke) whenever you write the story God revealed your dad about that lost tribe...

If my girlfriend ever proposed to me, I would first ask her to let me see the stone............... and by stone I don't mean the engagement ring, I mean the stone that will be tied around my ankle because marriage would make me a prisoner.

(Wait, did I write that out loud? I sure hope AzureAfire loses the ability to read if she ever visits this thread!!!).

P.S. Do they have Emerald Green Enslavement (I mean Engagement) Stones for future Grooms? At least then my stone would match my eyes and that would sweeten the deal a little bit!!!

...unexpectedly* out in public, how would you respond? Would you be concerned about helping him save face if you weren't really sure at that point in time that you both were ready for marriage?

*By "unexpectedly," I don't mean that you were surprised, but that you didn't see this coming whatsoever because you had been through a fairly recent rough patch in your relationship and hadn't talked about it much before.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts :)

Apparently I'm in the minority... if I was dating someone, I don't think it would bother me. I'd just ask him quietly if he was okay with a tentative answer until I could pray about it. If he said yes, then I would say yes, and we'd figure it out later. If he said no... well, if he was kneeling to pop the question, that would make it easier to push him over.

Okaaaaaaaay o.o;............i'm off to go searching for that precious Enslavement, errr, Engagement stone just for you, Descyple!!! gets into her Tomb Raider outfit, AzureAfire edition *wink* (includes her trusty samurai sword, heavy crossbow, and dagger, in case there are wild animals, bandits, and undead to bar her path. And a can opener, in case she gets hungry :p Ancient canned goods, anyone???)

Descyple Dearest, don't you worry!!! I'll make your guilded cage all nice and comfy!!! I'll keep it clean and sweet smelling, and fill it with LOTS of CHOCOLATE and ICE CREAM (hence the sweet smell) ;) Oh, and i won't forget to get you a nice big tub of water for your baths!!! But let me know what type of shampoo you like, okay??? XD

Now, if the tables were turned, and my boyfriend proposed to me, i would want it to be a COMPLETE SURPRISE  I don't want any hints whatsoever!!! If i get even the slightest idea that it's coming, i should be thrown into the deepest well he could find, and be left there for months, until i could no longer remember what my name is!!! (>.<); if he calls down to me with a "Hello???" and i answer with "Ring-Ring!!!" then i might have been left in that well for FAR too long!!!

But seriously, i LOVE surprises  a well-thought out setting, with all the things that i love and enjoy (he has to discover those, and take note of them). It may be simply sweet and heartmelting, or crazy grand and heartmelting  It may or may not include other people in the mix. But if it includes others, i'd like my family to be part of it. He should be bold, and go all out, and enjoy the process (although he might be sweating so much underneath from the anxiety XD). I want it to be unique, and tailor-made just for the two of us  it's OUR engagement, after all!!!

As for the ring, i have only 3 requests: it shouldn't be edible, nor part of Barbie's jewelry collection, nor big enough to sit on XD

As an outsider, I also see he was "worshipping" her... and she thought he wasn´t the one she wanted to have inside. Sad! i can laugh at the "funny" thing and that´s why I´ve shown the the other version on another post (POST 9)

Rejection is a thing i don´t laugh at. I wish no one were rejected, but I needed to know it well (I was a rejector).

I just can't bring myself to watch cringe-worthy videos. So can anyone tell me what happened in the above video?

Yeah, I had to watch it, cause I thought you were joking. I wish you were now. But, she did warn him not to.

That video by the way is just an ad by the "not so sweet Cadbury Bournville". The highlight of that video is the toy train and not them really. :p

So don't feel guilty if you laughed, no actual harm was done. :)

This one is really a hard decision to make for us ladies. But when this situation happens to me, I think I'm going to be honest to my feelings and tell him the truth. I know that honesty is valuable for him too. Yes it may hurt him, but truth will only save us from more hurt, pain, frustration, and sadness.

He obviously had planned this in advance. I think it took more than a silly sounding warning to discourage him from proceeding. And it doesn't really justify it, just because she warns him.

I wish I knew the name of that impredictable, violent and dangerous girl... She is PRETTY! But I don´t like the way she PLAYED the guitar.

Hahaha! :p
