He was afraid of getting hurt or killed., He was not focused on the spirit, the plan of God or his wife. If he was, he never would have been tempted to sin..

Before the Mosaic Law was instituted at Mt. Sinai, there were people who lived righteous lives in conformity to God's moral absolutes.

Abel (Hebrews 11:4)
Enoch (Genesis 5:22, 24; Hebrews 11:5)
Noah (Genesis 6:9; Ezekiel 14:14, 20)
Job (Job 1:8; 2:3; Ezekiel 14:14, 20)

People can be related to the eternal, unchangeable, moral absolutes of God without being under the moral aspect of the Mosaic Law; and it is possible to be free from the moral aspect of the Mosaic Law without being lawless.

Prior to Mount Sinai, God administered His moral absolutes over all mankind in ways other than through the Mosaic Law. From Mount Sinai to the cross of Jesus Christ, He administered His moral absolutes over Israel through the Mosaic Law. Since the time of the cross, God has been administering His eternal absolutes over all of mankind in a way which is different from and superior to the Mosaic Law. The moral absolutes have not changed, but the way of God's administering those absolutes has changed. For example, idolatry and adultery have been just as wrong in God's sight since the time of the cross as they were when the Mosaic Law was in effect, but since the cross, God has not required the death penalty for those sins (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) as He did when the Mosaic Law was in effect (Exodus 22:20; Leviticus 20:10). The new, superior way of God's administering His moral absolutes is called grace.

Christ did indeed come not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it, which He did. Jesus was under the law that believers might not be.

God requires perfect obedience to His law, and no man can attain to that. Thus salvation must be a gift of God's righteousness provided through Jesus Christ.

Christ came to redeem those who were under the "curse" and "bondage" of the law.

And even if He did, was there forgiveness for disobeying it?

In none of those contextual verses did Jesus say to stop doing the Law. In fact, He told His followers to do it.

Because not until "heaven and earth pass away" will one bit of the Law be done away with. You can add all of your reasoning and use other verses as a commentary on that passage, but the fact is that Jesus said clearly to follow the Law. All of those commentary verses support Jesus telling His disciples to follow the Law.

And if you think that by Jesus saying He fulfilled the Law we no longer need to do the Law, does that apply to the commandment in the rest of Matthew 5?

And by the way, my salvation is in God's grace alone, and my faith in that.

Please sir, just watch out for pride and arrogance, losing humility, I know for fact we can do all things by Christ in love to all, and Mercy we have received so Mercy we shall give, please do not forget that, before you, i or anyone has to be buffeted, in from being a little too high and mighty ourselves and fporget Christ is the Savior the only way, truth and life and turn focus on Law as if it is by obeying we are saved.
I agree to obey Law, the ? that comes to mind is what Law? Literally or Spiritually?

dude, everytime you see the word command does not mean law. there are many commands God gave us,

your not helping yourself one iota.

Abraham followed Gods commands.

He left his home
He went to a place which was not his own
He tried to sacrifice is son.

You need to stop thinking the law is the only commands, Your holding yourself back.

This "brit" God made with Abraham has always been the covenant of reference for me. The Holy Spirit tells me I have entered through the Gate, Yeshua, to become one with the people of Yahweh. This is thanks to the only Sacrifice for sin, Yeshua. There are many "brits" throughout the Word. Brit is a covenant, but this covenant made with Abraham tells me I am of the People of Yahweh, no longer an enemy. After all, our faith is the faith of Abraham, the prophets prophesied for all who believe, and the writings teach us all the history of faith and the future plan for having lived by faith.

“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

with gal 3:

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

I will rather remain in need that to think I am righteous, for only Father is good as per Christ, and so I see this do you?
I need Christ and every time I get a little above others, I found I need buffeted as in 2 Cor 12:7-9
love you, I think of all others as better than me, have this mind in you per Paul. die to self daily, not Dye self daily and put on a good show, that says to others look at you and they see themselves as no good in them, and you not meaning to are boasting, watch out,

I forgot to add what was required for forgiveness.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[SUP][h][/SUP]), [SUP]14 [/SUP]that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
