Nope, for the most part, they won't.

See?

I spent a year on Match.com, CM, PoF, everything short of the porny dating sites.

WOW, when I first read this I thought it said a PONY dating site! I thought - man, this guy's really into this thing... but then, of course it wasn't pony afterall ha ha....

so how many hands high is your current gf?

Let me apologize beforehand for this..... (snickering) (I know not what I do. i'm broken....) but this just opened a well stream....so you went to these porny dating sites but decided all the girls were whorses? (giggling and shaking but not making any noise because i'm out of air) your opening line is always "hey sweetie, why the long face" (turning red to blue now) so you ask her how old she is and she thinks "oh brother, this is gonna take a while" (dying here)....

Im nearly 5 foot 10. Before I met my husband I dated a man who was shorter than me, I had no issue with it. But my husband is 6 foot 4. I like that better

Claps!

a dull, slow-witted, or socially inept person.

"They were a group made up mostly of men who were all nerds and geeks and dorks in high school who went on to become brilliant and funny and irresistible in college."

To be completely honest I prefer a guy who is taller. Someone when I hug I can feel safe and sheltered. Maybe it's an insecurity, but I would prefer a guy I don't literally look down on. But like it was said before, if his heart is right then that's all that matters in the end.

i'll admit to not being capable of dating or marrying a guy shorter than myself.

Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case.

(But, just to really set this thread on fire...how much flak would any of us get if we were to say something like, "Yeah, I totally couldn't date someone who was bigger than a size 6," or "To be completely honest, I could never see myself with someone who makes less than $90,000 a year." *smirk* )

I would imagine that most guys have heard this from more aggressive females, or on dating sites. I've got a book that deals with dating, and this point is brought up very strongly and mocked by the writer, as an unfortunate sign of the times. The ad they were laughing at went into full detail about who she would consider, point is she was very very picky and the writer said "good luck with that" :)

I just trust in the Lord that he can deal with this better than myself, as I've tried for 49 and 11/12 years, and it's another on the long list of things we should just hand over to him. I have some funny and not-so-funny personal dealings with this subject, which tells me "why worry about it anymore, its something out of my control".
